Best friend was playing it on PS3, didn't pay it much mind then. Saw it in the ap store on Christmas eve of 2012 (or was it 13?) Anyway...was really bored that night. Downloaded it since I had remembered seeing it (he only got up to the part where you kill Clem's babysitter before he turned it off). Then, i fell in love since. Crazy thing was, I had NO money at the time, broke college student. Couldn't purchase episodes 2-5 so I watched the whole play through on youtube which I kinda regret bc it didn't have the same shock it would've had, had I controlled it myself. But, I have played it many times myself since then
I watched an LP of the first hour of it back in December 2012. A year later, for no logical or explainable reason whatsoever, I felt a craving to play it. Got it during the Xmas sale, and completed it on Xmas Day. (That wasn't a great a great Xmas Day.) Bought season 2 immediately. I was kinda disappointed with the first ep, but thought, "eh, it'll probably get better". In hindsight: heh.
Sadly, I began with the TV series. I began studying the comics, then abandoned the TV show sometime during the second season.
Then, a fateful day in April 2012, when looking up zombie video games I saw Walking Dead had one out, only it wasn't what I expected. A visit to Telltale Games' site and a walkthrough of the first episode "A New Day", I was hooked.
Over the years, Telltale Games Walking Dead is my preferred version. The comic has it's moments as well.
But this game is the WD for me.

I came in my mums room and saw her watching the t.v show. At first I thought it was a movie but then i looked into it and I became obsessed ever since . And pewdiepie introduced me to the game

I saw Lee's death, I thought "This is pathetic, what kind of game that can make people cry?"... I was wrong. After buying from Steam, I was immediately hooked with the story. Slowly I cared for Lee and Clem, and I cried like a wuss when the finale came.
I watched a lets play on youtube and I bought season 1 and 2 of the games two years later.....
Now, I am obsessed with a fictional child, thanks a lot telltale.....
I had receantly played telltale back to the futere series and was browsing the site and found out a page kinda black and red saying The walking dead a telltale series and a place to put my email... since i loved all other walking dead medias i followed every walking dead (telltale) news since then.

I remember watching a youtube video (cant remember the youtuber) and seeing a part in the recommended videos. I clicked on it to see the part in episode 3 season 1 when Lee is investigating at the motel. I was wary, as what I saw was just someone walking around and talking to other NPCs. I knew nothing about TWD and its story, so I just stopped watching halfway through the video. A few days later, I went back to watch it. I watched all of episode 3 season 1 and was hooked. Went back and watched all of season 1. I really wanted to buy it but never got the chance. Around the release of season 2, I splashed out and bought all of season 1. I did the same with season 2. Between the releases of episode 1 season 2 and episode 2 season 2, I watched the tv show. I was obsessed with this post apocalyptic world. When season 2 finished, I wanted more. Bought both of th compendiums and read them all in a few days. I have even tried making my own story based in the comic universe.
I first knew about it because of the tv show, but i thought it was more focused on horror, so i wasn't too interested, i really got into it when the game came out and i heard it was awesome, i checke it out and i realised it was more than that.
The short length is pretty much the least of it's problems
I don't see how anyone can say S2 was terrible and worth forgetting about when Survival Instinct exists
I was watching videos from a channel called Zackscottgames and I watched the first episode of his walkthrough. I wasn't interested in the Wa… morelking Dead at the time so I forgot about the game completely. Then, just over a year ago, I see a commercial for Season 4 of the show, and I watch the first three season and got hooked. It was only really late in 2013 ( maybe two or three months before I joined the forums) that I bought the game on Xbox 360. When I get to S1E2, I get stuck on the part where you confront Brenda (my controller joystick doesn't center itself on it's own) and I finally resort to asking for help on these forums. After I got past the episode, I decided to stay on the forums... and well you guys can probably guess the rest of it.

The next day: hooked
I watched a lets play on youtube and I bought season 1 and 2 of the games two years later.....

It was The last thing My dad got me into before he left. God bless that fat man for giving me access to the best damn thing ever.
I watched the first episode of the game on Youtube, after hearing it was great.

HAHAA that's true
It's probably the only "zombie" thing that has scared me.
That scene in the tunnel when they're trying to change the tyre is terrifying.
Season 1 Episode 2 got me stuck on the part where you fight Walker David.
But I just raged several times and finally did it.
Very painful memories.
