Cheesus! That was a huge monkey collection you got there! How much do you for the games?
  • edited June 2009
    Thats not my collection :S

I own the collectors edition, just the one big box
And i'd like to be offered a price
  • edited June 2009
Your best chance for sales is to bung it up on eBay with some pictures.
  • edited June 2009
    Yeah i know

I thought id offer it here first

I kind of want to buy it simply because it's a collector's edition.

What condition is it in? What's it come with in terms of extras?
  • edited June 2009
I got one and it was collectors edition. It had a big picture on the front with a collage of all the game boxes, and had screenshots of monkey island 3 and 4 on the back.

It was only $30 when I got it, and that was in Australia where games are expensive and normally $100.

    Perfect condition

The only thing that came in the box was
a CD with MI 1 and 2 on it
    Both CD's for Curse
Both CD's and manual for Escape

Hm. Well, tell you what - put it up on Ebay and I'll probably bid, but I don't think I'd give you a fair price for it straight up and I'm not about to rip off a fellow Monkey Islander. I was hoping for more extra features and bits in a collectors edition. My apologies for wasting your time.
  • edited June 2009
I have no idea what a fair price for this would be, its hard to find just about anywhere

I bought it for 70 brand new
  • edited June 2009
Well, it's I've already got the 4 games. I kind of was hoping it'd have like lots of concept art, commentaries, posters. That kind of thing. Didn't mean to jerk you around, although the OCD in me would probably still like the set I don't think I'd be willing to give you anything near what you paid for it.
  • edited June 2009
    Haha, thats fine :P

I still have no idea why they made the box SO massive....
  • edited June 2009
Bloody hell, 40 bucks for the first!
  • edited June 2009
Hi Shiversul, how much you want for it? :)
  • edited June 2009
I just found out these are EXTREMELY rare, and were only sold in Australia

Sale the games individually on ebay, no one has the monkey to buy all those at once , lol. One at a time is a sure bet. I mean , look at that link the first game is going for 40 bucks. I wish I had the original box to mi -one and two ...I might have the box to game three somewhere if there was one.

I wish I had the Monkey to buy stuff

You're waaaay more likely to get sales through eBay due to the protection it offers to buyers, and of course people are going to look there rather than here if they are interested in buying it.

HA ! I didn't realize I did that , hohoho . First you get the monkey, then the power ! Anyways I think Guybrush has the right idea.

Looks like the original offer has gooone

    Anyone still interested?

I'm suspicious as to why you don't want to put this on ebay... if you put it on ebay and post the link here you will get much more intrest.

These are rare, and I used to own my own copy... but I sold it on ebay. If you don't want to go with eBay I'll buy it, just send me a PM with what you're asking and we'll go from there.

Post it on ebay and I'll be one of the eager bidders.

also, 1.1 features young Dominic Armato doing voice of Guybrush before he even knew he would come to do the voice of Guybrush in the Curse of Monkey Island. Actually, no one knew there would be Monkey 3 at the time. Only George, yes. Thats what he will tell us any moment now.
