About my season one saves?

If i start a new game in season 2 and carry over my season 1 save but then after playing say all of episode 1 but then delete my original season 1 save, will season 2 still remember that save and all it's choices?

The reason i ask you see, is because my season 1 save is corrupt. If i play through then quit game and reload, it keeps starting back to the beginning of the episode so i need to delete my game (PS4 version btw). So does anyone know if season 2 will remember my save and choices if i delete the season 1 save?

    I don't think so. Doesn't it check for season 1 files every time you start the game?

    Only at the start of episode 1 does it search for a season 1 save file but doesn't after episode 2 but i just wondered
