Don't judge Season 3 before it's even released.

  • Even so, many people actually prefer season 2 over season 1, the decisions didn't matter as much but it created much controversy and debates within the community, which in a way is rather good but also rather bad. I honestly loved Season 2 almost more than Season 1, TellTaleGames did a great job despite everything, people still loved The Walking Dead Season 2 and I've seen more people actually show how they really feel about characters, more people defended more minor characters or tried to make them seem like deadweight, even if they use the same formula, that doesn't mean they'll fuck the season up, you never truly know what will happen.

I'm not trying to judge Season three before its released but the way Season Two was written, and how the gameplay was, Telltale pretty much

  • I'm completely positive that I'm going to enjoy Season 3 (if I play it) so...bring it on.

  • Season 2 felt like any other game that had a great story and unforgettable characters just with decisions that changed some things within the game, if you know about all the events in Season 2, the choices you made, if TellTaleGames uses them in Season 3, could create huge differences in the Season but a game must never be too different within itself I say.

I fell in love with Season 1. It was a masterpiece. A beautiful game worthy of GOTY. Season 2 was not to say the very least, it didn't even

  • I agree, as much as I loved Season 2, it needed more character development, I feel like I might forget some characters by Season 3, Sarita and Alvin probably got the least amount of character development.

I prefer well developed characters to prettier ones, but that's just me. I feel like the heart of TWDG should be the character development, and I didn't like how there was so little of it S2 and that's a big part of why I bash on it so often. .3.

  • Saying the writing is bad is your opinion, I say the writing is good because if it wasn't bad I wouldn't have enjoyed it and neither would millions of other people out there. Season 2 did work on relationships with characters, not as much as Season 1 but is was there, Sarah probably being the biggest denominator in that area, also the choices don't make huge impacts in the end but throughout the story they do, the events may not change in a thoroughly noticeable scale but that doesn't mean they don't change and Lee and Clementine both had their own personalities, we just chose which parts of their personalities we would show, we only acted as their subconscious and the game is meant to have a greater moral effect than in-game effect.

The writing was bad. Extremely evident in Amid The Ruins and some scenes in No Going Back. The choices had meaning and defined how you interacted with people and your own personality. S2 didn't work on your relationships with characters

  • While I agree that it's too early to be judgemental towards how Season 3 will play out as the game had barely made it to the first stage of development, we are still entitled to offer constructive criticism when concerning how it will play out. Although it was well received by critics, Season 2 is very polarising among fans for a reason, especially when concerning the second-half of the game.

Our concerns of Season 3 is not going to go away anytime soon, especially when Telltale more or less stated that Season 3 will continue from Season 2, and there's a risk of Season 3 suffering from the same controversy Season 2 had unless Telltale work to fix the problems Season 2 had.

  • I'm not saying you aren't entitled to do that, of course you are, I'm just saying that you shouldn't let that criticism cloud how you think Season 3 is going to be. And I doubt that we will find the same issues that we did at some points in the second half. Remember, it was the first time Telltale worked on two games at once, clearly mistakes were made. With Tales and Thrones, it seems that they have worked out the kinks and fixed those mistakes to improve the quality of the games.

  • True, Borderlands and Game of Thrones were very good on their own, but in fairness they were new projects that the creators were very excited for and had more passion for designing these games than a sequel of a game they had already done, and there's another sequel on the way.

I won't get my hopes up for Season 3, but I will keep an open mind with how it all turns out sometime next year.
