  • 10 bi-monthly episodes? No thanks. Even if they split it up into shorter episodes (meaning hopefully quicker waits), that would just make the pacing awkward and rushed for each episode.

I wouldnt mind if they made it $60 for 10 episodes instead of $30 for 5 episodes. Or like i said in the past, it'd be awesome if they released Season 3 with multiple separate storylines, because our past choices actually did matter.

  • I found many hints of choice carry-over and references from Season 1 to Season 2. If you go on The Walking Dead Wiki it details many of them. Just because that is a major choice doesn't make it the only choice. I realise what you are saying but I think you are wrong. Even if only a few choices carried over, it's still that feeling of being on the one journey through these characters in both Seasons, I think starting up Season 3 and saying, "The only choice I made was whether or not to Let Jane Die/Kill Kenny/Wellington etc" is a major detachment from what is the soul of this game, and for me and I believe many, would harm the experience immensely.
Even if it is just references or even bits that are entirely scripted and precious choices had no effect on them...there is still that feeling of the relationship you had with character in past seasons, no matter what the dialogue is.

Choices from season 2? Lol hardly! The only choices that would carry over to season 3 is who you save at the end of the game! Kenny or Jane? Wellington stay or leaving by yourself

  • Yes there were choices in season 2 but can you really see any or many choices that could carry over to season 3? Because other than the jane/kenny choice i just can't think much else seriously! It's a shame. I think in season 2 they could have involved more of our season 1 choices mentioned or felt like it meant something because even then it wasn't a whole lot. Don't get me wrong, i liked season 2 but it didn't come close to how much i enjoyed season 1

  • It would work. I know a way that could work. Telltale are amazing storytellers and frankly I don't believe that they should be looking to the community for feedback. They could write a good story without that feedback. (Never know until you try, right?) They could make every episode over a normal development period in secret like most game developers. Then when it's all ready instead of releasing it all at once they just release it bi-weekly. 10 episodes over a period of 20 weeks? Would be great.

  • Come on guys!!!! i mean seriously where are u guys its been almost 5 days since last comment come on man :/ i thought walking dead fans are excited xD

  • We aren't getting any news on Walking Dead: Season 3 for a long time (at least until the entire Michonne Miniseries is finished), so people don't have to keep this thread active if there isn't any news.

  • LEE EVERETT MOTHER F***ERS!

  • As long as Season 3 still has Clementine as the protagonist I'll be happy. I probably won't bother with Michonne's mini-series (although she is one of my favorite characters in the show and comic). I'm actually kinda pissed that they're making a tie-in. Regardless I know my voice doesn't matter, just giving my thoughts, just finished Season 2 and I'm dying to keep the adventure going.

  • If Clementine is the main protagonist I'm hoping they do some kind of storyline where the three separate endings can link up. I know I know. there are SIX separate endings. (Jane dead, abandon Kenny), (Jane dead go with Kenny, then abandon Kenny), (Jane dead, go with Kenny, stay with Kenny), (Kenny dead, go with Jane, welcome possibly dangerous family), (Kenny dead, go with Jane, turn away possibly dangerous family), (Kenny dead, abandon Jane). But since three of the stories end with Clem walking off into the unknown (one of which with Kenny), and two of the endings are the same setting just with one decision change, there are really only three settings that need to be worked with.

I'd just hate to have to download three separate stories and only go through one third of the game at a time. It'd be better if the game could sync up early.

  • @InGen_Nate_Kenny What do u mean ? is there something wrong in my comment ? lol

Any news about the third season of the game?

  • wtf aura no game is $200 lmao

  • Seven actually. 1 Clem alone with AJ and Kenny is dead and Jane alive. 2. Clem alone with AJ and Jane is dead and Kenny is alive. 3. Clem alone with AJ and both Kenny and Jane are dead. 4. Clem with Jane and no family. 5 Clem with Jane and Family. 6. Clem stays at wellington. 7 Clem leaves Wellington with Kenny.

Because it won't be out anytime soon, not until TWD: Michonne wraps up, and even that hasn't gotten its trailer despite its premiere this year.

You know, I'd really love to see Telltale refine and implement their combat mechanics/system from Minecraft Story Mode into TWD.

Obviously it'd need a lot of tweaks in order to work in the world of TWD, but I can imagine some interesting possibilities.

On top of providing more interactivity/gameplay, you could add some interesting trade-offs to that kind of system. For example: you have the choice to use a gun to take out a group of zombies, or the choice to use a knife. The gun is reliable and lets you take things out from a range, but comes at the expense of noise and ammo, which could potentially come back to bite you in a later segment, be it against a group of zombies or potentially a human opponent. On the other hand, using a knife would let you save ammo and make less noise, but takes longer, runs the risk of you getting swarmed (leading to harder and/or more QTEs), and could even lead to the loss of your weapon in the process.

The outcomes of one fight could then factor into another. For a further example: you get into a small scuffle with a group of zombies. Using the knife leads to you losing it in the process. At a later point, you come across a group of hostile survivors, or an even bigger crowd of zombies. Since you lost the knife, you're forced to go loud and take them on with a gun, as opposed to being able to sneak around and take them out quietly with the knife. Vice versa for if you used the gun, which could also make the segment more difficult depending. That'd be quite a bit of work and probably not something they'd do every episode, but even having something like that happen at least once would be really neat.

There's a lot of really cool things they could experiment with like that.

The Michonne mini series might be a good game for them to try some new gameplay mechanics, i remember them experimenting with some new things in 400 days which where implemented into Season 2 with some alterations so the same thing could happen with Michonne and Season 3.

It world be cool to see some melee action similar to Story Mode when we use a sword as that could work really well killing walkers as the mechanic is there but the violence is toned down for Story Mode but could look great in the Walking Dead, i would also like to see drastic changes like they did with Tales from the Borderlands as seeing it work in that game proves that they can do it so if Season 3 does continue on from Season 2 it would be awesome to see different beginnings based off how we ended Season 2.

What drastic changes did they have in TftB? I've watched a few playthroughs of the first couple episodes of that game, but that's it really. Not sure what you mean.

The beginning part or episode 3 was drastically different depending on what choice you made at the end of episode 2, there where also lots of smaller changes like how characters interact with you. Other episodes also had some interesting differences and even choices in episode 1 made a difference in episode 5 so i would like to see similar choices make a impact in TWD Season 3.

  • Season 3 could be great for, you know BRINGING BACK CHRISTA? I mean seriously Telltale, where is she?

  • Can i just say i'm kinda scared that i'm not gonna like season 3 because we are probably gonna play as clementine wich is something that i REALLY disliked in season 2.

  • Here's me hoping when they say 'New perspective" its anything but Clementine.. I mean Imo we are gonna play as bandits, and (hopefully) start a new fresh slate.

  • Ah, that's true. Daryl is a "show exclusive", isn't he? Didn't think of that

It's not a character cameo/playable by Daryl, is it? The game is set in the comic universe, not the show universe.

  • I think I read somewhere that Telltale mentioned that there won't be any returning characters.

And Christa's fate will stay unknown, as the chances of meeting lost people again are slim-to-none in real life, supposedly.
