Telltale is making a three episode series of Michonne (a character from the Walking Dead comics) to help people stay occupied in the wait for Season 3. It was originally supposed to be DLC for Season 2 like how 400 Days was for Season 1, but they changed it to its own game. It premieres next month.
When the three episode Michonne series ends (we don't know when that is yet), come back and occasionally check this thread for more news around that time.
I really hope season 1 and half of season 2 was all just a dream because i miss lee and i cried when he had to die. Also i cried when Clementine had her vision (or if it was real)
It's the same with fans of the show that hopes it's all Rick's dream because of his coma. Same answer applies here - those in charge confirmed that everything that happened was real, no dream. :P

We already know to expect more news on Season 3 after Michonne ends, but nevertheless, this is interesting. Either we can possibly expect Season 3 this year, or the changes to make Season 3 "bigger" are special enough to make this year a *very* big year for The Walking Dead Telltale series just based on how big the news is.
PLEASE GET On the HYPE TRAIN, the final destination is series 3 of the TWD. Getting there will take a little while, so we will get a chance to see more of the final destination, a different story with different characters, but fret not its in the same universe as the final destination - so basically all the elements you love. The bottom line is this: please be patient.
Temporarily unsinking this thread so people can discuss this potential teaser of what's to come ahead:

Have faith, the mini series will be good and it is the same world as series 3. we only need to wait for say 3 months and then we will get news everyone is waiting for.
At this point, I'm wondering if we will get some hint of Season 3 info during this year's E3? With Michonne's quick schedule, the series should be over by then if they release episodes as fast as they did for Minecraft, and E3 would be as good of a time as any to drop some info. If not, I could also see some Season 3 info being dropped around some Comic Con type event that happens around that same timeframe that Michonne ends.

Wait a second, I'm pretty confused right now. @BlindSniper unsank this thread yesterday, but there are posts made during late January. What's going on? I'm dizzy now, too.
"Sunk" threads are threads that can still be commented on, but are no longer bumped when a new comment comes up. "Closed" threads can't have new comments on them unless they are unlocked. Being unsinking the thread, it will now bump up to the top of the subforum every time there's a new comment in it.

Love the new banner, by the way!
Edit: Typo fixed.

And then she'll have plenty of things to be sad about again come Season 3, where all of her friends die again, perhaps even the baby, leaving her all alone once more.

I think Clementine will wake up in Season 3, or a future title, and it was all a dream. After all, in the "dream" in season 2 episode 5, she went back to sleep when she became "conscious."
It is not a dream, just like Rick isn't still in a coma. Everything up to the end of Season 2 of the game happened in the comic timeline. Why do people always think that this is a thing?
Some people just refuse to believe that Lee is dead and they want that "dream" thing to actually happened. How unfortunate that Telltale already confirmed that it isn't a dream. Everything that happened, happened.

i don't think it's too corny and think it's a good idea,i mean it's a game about zombies...having Clem wake up from falling out of her tree house going in and out of consciousness is the route i would take, the possibilities are endless, the nanny calls a doctor, the doctor resembles Herschel...a car drives past ,Clem looks out the window still groggy..it's Kenny and family...well it looked like them..,mail woman ..Lilly...,parents arrive back ,the father is resembled as Lee...lol i know they won't go down this happy ending route but it could bookend the game nicely rather than having something brutal like Clem dying alone if S3 is to be the final season.

That wouldn't even really work if Hershel and Glenn weren't in the comics. It is corny, as corny as if Lee was still alive. But fact is, Hershel and Glenn are in the comics. So, you're saying Rick is in a coma and dreams up the exact same people as Clementine, same looks, same personality, same farm? How about no. 'It was all a dream' is the worst cop-out in existence. Kirkman has already said that it's all really happening in the comics. The game is bound to the comics by canon, and Kirkman would never allow Telltale to do something like that.

Thanks so much! I'll try for the Comics to until that time.

Real or Not Real: that is indeed the question.
[sits in the back carriage and helps herself to the peanuts] meh, this better be good =_=
Can you say.. February 17th?
Heard it here first folks.
That's an exciting tweet! I loved Season 1 and 2. I'm sure 3 will be just as awesome if not better! Way to go Telltale Games!

if is not Feb 17th you going disappointed. that's the problem when guessing the released date. =_=
I'm on board the F17 hype train.
(It's a joke he's not guessing. F17 has to do with the wait for TFTB episode 2 and has become a common joke around here).
sorry I didn't know

This reminds me of a Buffy:The Vampire Slayer episode.
I was actually trying to sound more Shakespeare but it sounded way off.
we can only cross our fingers that season 3 isn't pulled back to 2017

Oh, that's right. Thanks!
If it was a dream, our choices beyond episode 3 of S1 wouldn't mean Jack.
What relationship do you guys think Clem'll have with AJ?
Will she act like a surrogate mother or a big sister?
Aww Clem looks so sad. Cheer up girl, S3 will be out one day.
OMG!! Really happy to hear the news crying emoji
And then she'll have plenty of things to be sad about again come Season 3, where all of her friends die again, perhaps even the baby, leaving her all alone once more.
Eh, we've already seen the surrogate parent route with Lee. I think I'd prefer a more older sister role. Still, it will probably be good either way.
Thank you for that shining burst of optimism.
Me too #RipLee

how about if Lee never even existed?
