Biggest Debate for walking dead fans.

Which series is better for the walking dead so far? Telltales walking dead vs AMC's walking dead. Which do you prefer, and would you like to see a telltale version on tv? Which actor do you think can fit right in for Lee?

  • I'm sorry but I can't consider this as a serious question. AMC's TWD is utter garbage, i thought this was a well known fact.

  • But it's the most watched show on tv...

S1 of the game is the best thing to come out of the TWD, the show has problems but is still enjoyable and better than S2 of the game in my opinion, and the comics I don't read so I can't really judge on that. So for me: TWDG 1 > Show > TWDG 2

  • Now I love all forms of The Walking Dead, but for me, it's:

Game (either season) > Comic > Show

  • The show trumps all, imo.

  • Game by a long shot, The show has been annoying me lately, it had 3 great episodes this first half and then rest were just, "Hey lets split the group up again for filler episodes."

  • The game is far superior to show imo. The show is good, but it could be a lot better. Although I think the comic is better than the game (by a slim margin). Comic > Game (both seasons) > Show

  • While I disagree with him about AMC's TWD being utter garbage, views don't equal quality of a show. For example, The Legend of Korra got absolutely horrid viewer counts on television, yet I and tons of other people consider it to be an amazing show.

the real serious debate imo is which is better the game or comic because those two show the true side of twd and the show does not stand a chance against the game imo while the show is good its like watching a censored version of everything with some extra story arcs

  • Its hard to say because season 5 of the tv show has been so good so far. I think I'm starting to like the tv show more.

  • Maybe AMC made the first episode of our Walking dead, but there is no doubt that there walking dead was nothing without telltale. It can officially be said that telltale episodes are way better.
Actually there are few people who would like to see story similar or exactly same from movie because there is no such interest when everything isa spoiled so better will be for Telltale if they will just continue doing new seasons for their Walking dead.
This Clementine is special character and half of Walking dead players like this series because of her and if telltale thinks that she will make series boring, it will be terrible mistake so main thing here is that just continue making series Telltale and good luuck!

  • Legend of Korra has horrid viewer counts, because people were waiting for much more from the next season of Legend of Aang.
Walking dead movie version is only so good because of 5 season. If Telltale will be more active here, it can end with the great success for Telltale and the Walking dead.

Your actually wrong here my friend. You can't imagine how popular and amazing S2 actually is. I understand that it is your opinion and i agree that S1 was amazing but that only because S2 is made from S1 and if you will play special episode of S1: 400 days, it will make S2 awesome so be sure that you will change your mind when TWD S3 will come out ;) and actually show doesn't actually perfectly fits in the mood of real Walking dead. Not the best survival movie, but TWD game is the best one.

  • Show's first, fourth and the fifth seasons are more superior than Telltale's Season 2. Season 1 of the game is equal with the shows first, fourth and the fifth seasons.

  • Comic is the best.

    Comic = Game > Novels > Show

If you put a gun against my head and forced me to choose between the comic and game, I think the game would just inch out the comics for me

I don't think the show is bad (I still like it), but it just doesn't stand up to the other mediums for me

  • But Telltale's representation of Clem and everyone else is quite different to AMC's so it would be cool to have a different perspective of what the characters look like.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here? My opinion on s2 is that it sucked and nothing will change that.

Wait, did you confuse what I said about S1 being the best thing to come out of the franchise? I didn't mean that S2 wasn't popular because I'm sure it was, but personally I was unimpressed with it.

  • I like them all equally.

  • I like telltale's way more but i also like the tv series. I wouldnt want the telltale's to become a tv series because it is not gonna go well
firstly because there is no real life clem
secondly there is no real life lee

  • 'I don't like something, therefore it's a fact that it's bad!!!'

I'm sorry but I can't consider this as a serious question. AMC's TWD is utter garbage, i thought this was a well known fact.

  • Its a biased place to ask this

For me the game is more consistent on whether level each season is one while the show peaks and falls, the best show episode destroys the game however its bad episodes are just dreadful in comparison to the game.

  • To me the game's better because it really spoke to me and made me care, while if I watched the show I'd just watch like it was nothing special.

  • I love Telltale's TWD, but I do enjoy the T.V. show most of the time. There are some episodes in the show that have me feel a bit underwhelmed by it, but luckily I have the sense to enjoy both personally. Regrettably, I have read very little from the comic to voice my opinion.

  • This...is not really that serious of a debate IMO.

But, it's really hard to say...I played the games, watch the show, and read the comics, and I really like all 3 equally. They're all great in their own respects, and I don't know why people can't just accept that. The show is good for me because it's not exactly like the comics. Wouldn't it be boring if the show followed the exact same plotline? Wouldn't it get really damn boring if we knew what was coming next?

In terms of quality on the current seasons, most of last year I thought the game was better than the TV series. But currently, I think the TV series is doing better.

  • Exactly.

  • I feel like the TV Show is becoming too intense for me, the last episode i watched was "NOT AGAIN" episode, i'm sitting there watching this with a friend of mine, Anyhow we are sitting on the couch watching it, then it gets crazy and crazier, i have to close my eyes, the blood is giving me flash backs. She is over there enjoying it , like its a Christmas Morning Pageant. I'm hunched over, gasping for air, can't breathe. I concentrate on breathing, slow breaths, i recover.

Then there is the part where it inferred the "not again" scene, that just made me physically ill. I don't want to think about that, jesus christ people. This isn't entertainment, this is weird. It didn't phase her at all, and i'm acting like a complete bitch. Oh well , i already gots mental problems, i don't need TWD to simulate fake ones.

I'm sorry but I can't consider this as a serious question. AMC's TWD is utter garbage, i thought this was a well known fact.

  • Well there 3 different types of media, so its difficult to say...

For me S1 twd was easily as good as the tv show has ever been... S2 I dont even regard as twdg. I was that disappointed... and gimple is taking the show in exactly the same direction... I feel robbed in both areas tbh...

Yes TWD has always been a show/game where somthings were left to the imagination of the viewer/player.... but GimPle and S2 writers are using this to just put any shit on screen without any regard to making it make sense. its annoying when we have been used to such good writing...

Though S1 was a worthy equal to the show, I love the show more mainly because I actually have emotional attachment to the characters that have been there for multiple season and have had decent screen time/character development. It seems like the game just writes them to kill them before the end of the season.

I have heard the comics are the best but I only read the first 100 issues or something so I'll have to get back to them and see for myself

  • Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean its fact. The show is one of the highest rated shows on television currently and its actually very good IMO.

I'm sorry but I can't consider this as a serious question. AMC's TWD is utter garbage, i thought this was a well known fact.

  • AMC has horrible costumes, bad scenery and absolutely screwed over lighting. The TTG series isgood because it's one, more emotional and two, because it is animated, and can display walking corpses much better.

  • Fuck no Telltales 'The Walking Dead Game' is much better than AMC's 'The Walking Dead' tv series for the simple reason of, they don't have Clem in it.. Nuff

  • I like the show, but I love the game.

The show doesn't even come close to the quality of the game.

  • Well I don't really see how it could be the number 1 most watched showed on television if it doesn't have great quality. Honestly everyone I know likes it .-. But I do agree some shows out there like Legend of Korra and Once Upon A Time that have great quality but I've met a very few amount of people who actually watch them :\
