What The F**k Is Going Through Your Mind
WARNING: I went on a little rant here, and I advise only reading this if you're bored, you want to hate on me, or if you actually agree with some of my points.
What is going through your mind when you say "Clem should not be season 3 protagonist at all and we should have no contact with her!"...? What a terrible idea! I'm going to go on a little tear here so yeah warning, I guess..
Yes, I understand that some people don't want Clem as season 3 protagonist, and I understand that completely you want a new character but they should still implement Clem into the game somehow, not just brush her off your eyebrows just like that! When I see/hear people say "Clem shouldn't be in season 3 at all." I kind of get a rage inside of me because, we have had Clementine in TWD for two seasons now one of them we are playing as Clem as the protagonist and with her being the main character. If we just throw away Clementine in season 3 without knowing where she is or what happened to her then what the fuck was the point in the first two seasons? What, were they just leading us up to Wellington the entire time? Were they just showing us that we are over 2 years in the ZA and we didn't show the 2 years time laps we showed the first couple of days of the ZA starting, then we had a 3 month time skip then after that we showed maybe 1-2 weeks of it then BOOM, season 2 and we are now 2 years into the ZA.... I personally found that so terrible but that is for another post.
I think that Clem should be involved in season 2 in some kind of way, she doesn't have to be the protagonist or anything but i want her to be in season 3 somehow otherwise I personally won't buy it. Call me whatever you want in the comments, call me dumb or stupid or whatever you want but if Clem isn't in season 3 I won't buy it.
I understand that a lot of people didn't like season 2 because of Clementine, and right at the start of season 2 I didn't like it either but I didn't like it for a different reason than, "we are playing as an 11 year old girl we can't do shit blah blah blah." I didn't like it because I was playing as my favorite character and usually i would think that's a good thing but because we are in the ZA things are going to happen to Clem and I don't want bad things to happen to Clem I really don't. That's why I started not liking season 2 because I was Clem but then we got to maybe episode 3 and I was loving it.. A lot of people didn't like season 2 because 'their wasn't much change in Clementines character.' Wtf yes their was. She started a loving, scared, innocent little girl in season 1 and then season 2 rolls around and she can kick down doors etc.
In the end I want Clem to appear in season 2 quite a lot I want her to either be the protagonist or the deuteragonist I don't want her to not be in season 3 completely, she will be in there.. Don't worry. If ya read all of that and smiled then cool. Have a nice day

I want Clem as protagonist, I just hope that our endings will matter. If Kenny/Jane are just killed off for sake of easy writing then I wont want Clem as playable character
I just don't care honestly, so long as the story is good I do not care whether or not she appears. This universe does not only involve her, and there is room for a lot of diverse and interesting stuff.
I think it would be cool if we played as Clementine, Clementine and Kenny or Clementine and Jane in Season 3 depending on our endings.
Given the writing of season 2 and how easily and pointlessly characters were killed off...
There's not much hope.
It would be totally stupid if Clem didn't appear at all. She'll either be protagonist or a main character like in S1.
I'm sick of Clementine . Lee been dead for two years, at least Lee liked to drink, all Clementine does is get shot, and do impossible feats of strength. I am hoping they start over with a more adult oriented storyline. I am tired of this baby shit to be honest.
Personally, I think that Clementine should be involved in Season 3 but she should stay as the deuteragonist from now on instead of a playable character. To me Clementine doesn't come across as a convincing, relatable, and entertaining protagonist, and that's one of the contributing factors of why Season 2 is such a let-down for me.
The problem with Clementine being a protagonist is because she's been reduced from a pre-established character with her own opinions and motivations, to a blank slate who only make choices at the behest of the player, which means that she only behaves as how the player thinks Clementine behaves, not literally as the same girl who arrived from S1.
She also had her entire character development from S1 to S2 written off-screen, making her onscreen transition between S1 and S2 very abrupt and underwhelming. And her contribution to the story is very minimal especially for a player character, mainly because she's a child protagonist among a group of grown ups. Perhaps Telltale realised this and gave her several tasks to do that an adult can, except they ended up making the entire cast of adults incompetent in comparison to an eleven year old girl.
If Season 3 arrives, I would like to have an adult take her place as the protagonist, while Clementine resumes her role as the deuteragonist, where she can make her own choices based on what she has done and seen in Season 1 and 2. The problem with a different playable character is the lack of non-established adults left in the story, and Kenny and Jane are too controversial and well-established to take up the leading role. The only way to fix this is to bring back Christa and have her become the protagonist, especially since it would give an opportunity to expand more on what Christa and Clementine did together during the 2 year gap that was conveniently left out of the story.
But if Telltale either cuts Clementine out of the story or resume her position as the protagonist, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. But I do expect them to step up their game, so to say.
I want her to be the protagonist. I´ll feel like everything I did went to waste if she´s not there.
Always felt like Telltale's TWD was Clementine's story. Perhaps people that don't want her around are annoyed playing as a little girl in a mature game or are scared that their feelings will get hurt if they continue to grow attached to her in a cruel, dark world, that they feel powerless in.
I feel like her story is over, which I know is an unpopular opinion. I'm glad Telltale gave season 2 multiple endings, especially since each one has an overall satisfying wrap-up to Clementine's journey. I wouldn't mind if she appeared in season 3 as a supporting character, I just don't want her as the protagonist again.
Another reason I wouldn't want her returning is because of the possibility of her dying. The same goes for Kenny, AJ and Jane, who would have an extremely high probability of being killed off. That would definitely turn some fans away.
And this may sound stupid, but I really don't want to see Clementine grow up. I'd prefer to remember her as the capable little girl Lee saved. I know it's selfish, but that's honestly how I feel, and largely why I couldn't emphasize with her as much in season 2. There have been arguments that TellTale could do more with her, but how much more until she became either a completely hardened "badass" or another sympathetic character like Lee? I feel like it would just be a rehashed loop. I repeat, unpopular opinion, but I stand by it.
Long story short, I want to start from a clean slate. Of course I like Clementine, but I don't believe the game revolves solely around her.
