Wellington?

Of all the five endings at the end of Season 2, leaving Kenny to stay with AJ at Wellington is arguably the most emotional. As well as being the most emotive though, it's also intriguing and raises a lot of questions: what is Wellington- is it really as safe as it seems? How will people react to your arrival? Is it hiding it's own dark secrets like the St. Johns Dairy or Howe's? Will Season 3 begin when Clementine and AJ have arrived at Wellington or will it skip forwards a few months? Perhaps most importantly, will Christa be there, a prediction I've seen a few people mention? Here's a few of my own predictions about "Wellington":

Firstly, there's obviously going to be people unhappy with Clementine and AJ's arrival- probably a Larry 2.0 who thinks they shouldn't have been allowed in and has a grudge against them on the basis of that. It might seem a bit unbelievable that anyone would want to throw out a child and a baby, but (as the girl at the gates says- I can't remember her name) they aren't taking in any survivors, most likely because of shortage of resources. Some people won't be too pleased having to deal with the extra burden of a child and a baby.

I can also imagine that we'll meet a character around Clementine's age there as well, but unlike the other kids we've seen in this series thus far (Duck and Sarah) I imagine they'll be a bit more like Clementine- obviously not as tough, but they'll have been taught the necessary skills to survive like her. It would be interesting for Clementine to have a companion similar to her in age and character.

As for the Christa theory, the girl at the gates to Wellington herself said that she didn't think there as a Christa in Wellington, so I doubt she'll be there. Whether she will turn up in Season 3 is doubtful in my mind too- if she's going to turn up, she'll appear maybe at the end of Season 3 or in Season 4 (if they make one, which I presume they will).

I can also imagine that Wellington will be a pretty safe place- they won't be cannibals like the St. Johns and they're leadership won't be made of psychos like Carver. But they're will be issues- whether its to do with unobvious problems with defence or clashes over leadership, I don't know. One thing is certain in my mind- Wellington won't last Season 3.

As for the time setting, it would probably be best if the Wellington story starts from as soon as she's arrived. That way we get to see people's immediate reactions to Clem and AJ's arrival, and we can bond to characters better than we would if they were forced upon us (which would happen if the season skipped a bit ahead).

As for Kenny (sob) if you choose to leave him you won't be seeing him again, unless you find him as a walker or if you find his body if he committed suicide (but that suggestion doesn't make sense, otherwise he wouldn't have taken the supplies).

Then there's the question about Bonnie, Arvo and Mike- I think it would be cool if they turned up at Wellington wanting to get in, and you could tell the leader whether they are trustworthy or not, and that would determine whether they got in. In that situation I'd tell the leader that they shouldn't be let in (though I'd try and just get Mike in if that was possible- the other two can crawl off and die in my opinion).

On a final note, I hope that the girl at the gates of Wellington (I don't know her name, is it Gwen?) plays a big part- if Wellington falls, which it inevitably will, I'd like to survive with her. She seems like a nice person but she knows what she's doing as well.

What do you guys think? Do you agree with any of my predictions? What are your own predictions? Please comment!

I'm still interested in episode one. When Nick, Pete, and Clementine find those bodies, one of which is the same guy that attacked Christa. I gave him water hoping he'd tell me what happened but he just smiles at Clem. I assumed it was just Carver and his men but there's no evidence of that. Reason I brought that up is because what if season three is revolved around Christa and her search for Wellington and Clem? I hope not because I've grown to Clem too much to not play as her anymore, but it would make sense for all the endings in season two. Having to search for any clues from other survivors if they had seen a little girl, leading into different directions based upon your season two ending.

Like I said I hope this isn't the case, but my imagination is lacking when I try to think of how to start season three with so many loose ends. For instance, when Clementine tells Luke that there were lights at the bridge, but they turned back into the woods. Are we assuming that was Carver? Because that could of been Christa searching for Clem.
Also, when they find Pete, someone says he's been shot. Clem then says he didn't have a gun. Why would Carver shoot Pete? Wasn't he trying to capture them all and herd them back to his fort like prisoners? Would Carver of shot Pete because he was bitten? May be that was Christa.

Season three is definitely interesting, as are all of season two endings.

  • (I don't know her name, is it Gwen?)

I hope the flashlights was Christa. She's one of my favourite characters. Clementine lost hers bag in the lodge maybe Christa will find it?

  • There's a lot of evidence to suggest that Christa is still alive. As for the car on the bridge though, I'm pretty sure that was Carver and his people (if you add together the time it would take to drive across the bridge plus the time it would roughly take to walk up to the ski lodge (it couldn't be accessed by cars, by the look of it) then the timing of Bonnie's appearance was pretty accurate). Other than that though, there is evidence to suggest she's still alive.

Personally I hope she doesn't appear, at least until season 4 (as I presume they'll make one after season 3). I don't want too many characters coming back from the dead Kenny style, otherwise things would get unrealistic.

  • It was a car; it had two lights. She'll probably re-appear, but that was definitely Carver's group.

  • Oh that's interesting. Its far fetched, but if that was Christa with the lights at the bridge, may be they turned around because it was too dark and cold to travel that night. Which time wise leads Christa finding Clem's bag the day after Carver captured everyone.

I do hope Wellington has some role in season three. I think it has a lot of potential for a zombie apocalypse location.

  • I'm still not totally convinced it was a car, but may be it was just as simple as that. As for her reappearing I agree with you, I would rather her stay a mystery - after all this is TWD. Mysteries aren't so mysterious anymore. Staying with Clem is much more preferable.

  • Thing is, when Clem was saying about the lights she said she saw two, if I remember. It could either be a car or Christa with another person? But yes, I'd love to stay with Clem!
