I Hated How People In Season 1..
I hated how in season 1 people always used the 'Clementine card' on Lee. Now personally I love Clementine and if you see me in other threads you will see me say the same thing, and I love Clementine a lot more than other people and I know that for a fact, but with people in season 1 like Lilly, and Kenny and people like that they all use the Clementine card on Lee atleast one time in season 1.
If you don't know what the 'Clementine card' is, it's basically when someone says something ie. "What if Clementine....." basically it being someone that is trying to convince you about something and brings in Clementine, making Lee have a harder choice about it.
Lilly uses it in episode 3 - Long Road Ahead, when she is trying to convince you that someone is stealing from the group, if you deny it the entire time she will say "What if Clementine gets' sick and we don't have what we need to help her because someone stole it." I find that so cheap that she said, basically making Lee look for some stolen supplies or something that might help Lee with the stolen supplies scenario.
Kenny uses it in episode 4 - Around Every Corner, when Lee finds Molly and Lee and Kenny are behind the overlook of the dock and Kenny says to Lee "What if that's the same person on the radio, messing with Clementines' head" Basically making Lee having to go and attack and interrogate Molly.
Honestly I find this so cheap that people do this to Lee and plainly disrespectful, I am a huge Kenny fan and I love him as well, but when he said that to Lee I got really angry with Kenny and i know Kenny was mad over there not being any boats and shit but still.. This is just a little topic, I thought I would make.. I was in the shower and I was thinking about how everyone did this, well not everyone I could only think of Kenny and Lilly but surely their would have been other people that did it as well, tell me about how you guys think about the 'Clementine card' and tell if their was anyone else that did this to Lee or something.

Agreed even in episode 2 Kenny uses the "Clementine card" on Lee to break into the hidden part of the barn. The whole don't you consider Clementine your family conversation came up and that you have to do anything to protect that.
It feels as though Telltale is not using the "Clementine Card" on Lee, but on you (the player). Just a way of having you doubt your choices and think not about yourself in this game. That being said I never felt as though Clementine was this useless trope that would be this focal point in the game for Lee to reluctantly continue his adventure. Clementine felt like family, a teammate, that I always had the best interest of which is why when people use her as a what if example, it works.
Yes exactly, with people like that using the 'Clementine card' it made us as a player as Lee, change our mind/opinion on the certain topic in our hands because we are not just caring about what we're going to do, we are caring for someone else, Clementine.

also I never really thought much of it. I didn't see it as much of a burdon just people continually bringing u poo Lee's responsibilities
While it is Lees' responsibility to take care of Clementine, not everyone has to bring it up in conversation when they're trying to get Lee to do something, like search for clues to the stolen supplies or look into the barn because Kenny was paranoid (i'm glad he was really :P)
Also I don't know if you're being sarcastic with "that's cute" I hope you're not and you're genuinly saying that, me coming up with the 'Clementine card' is cute..

I think it was used a lot to make sure you knew it was your duty to protect Clem, to make sure people cared about her. See? You didn't like it when people drew the Clem card, but if they didnt, you wouldn't feel the need of responsibility
I understand that point I guess.. yeh actually that makes quite a lot of sense actually. But the way I thought of people using the Clem card was to try and guilt trip Lee or semi blackmail him in a sense where it was just different and they just used Clem as an excuse to get Lee to do something, get what I'm getting at here?
