I've Been In Quite A Lot Of Communities.
I'm not going to lie I play quite a few different games, other than The Walking Dead although I am super passionate and I love this game to death if I played it throughout the entire day every day I know I would get bored. With me playing quite a few other games I have been involved in other communities as well, ie. Call of Duty Sniping Community, CoD Competitive Community, League of Legends community, WoW community, Minecraft PvP community... But throughout all of those communities this community - 'The Walking Dead Game community' is the best, nicest, helpful community I have ever witnessed in my life, their are nice people on here, actual active mods like BlindSniper, helpful people on here that clear things up when people are confused and then we have the genuine passionate people on here like Marioluigi, JonnyHaas, Deadmoney, EverybodysClemInTime, ABigBadWolf and a bunch of other people that are on here and that is only a few of them.
So on behalf on all of the Walking Dead Game fans in this community I want to say Thank you

This game puts your emotions in a pink pillow made from candy and hugs it, then throws it under a moving truck carrying saltlicks.
Most people who finish the game are emotional wrecks afterwards, so may be we're all slightly traumatised, thus being somewhat nicer to each other than we normally would be

Yeah every forum has some type of dispute. Walking Dead = Jane vs Kenny. Wolf Among Us = Nerissa vs Bloody Mary. Minecraft = little kids vs haters. Game of Thrones = basically every choice in the game. Borderlands = Rhys x Sasha vs Rhys x Fiona.
I'll assume you didn't witness the civil war going on after "No Going Back" was released, it wasn't pretty. Insults were flying everywhere, every youtubers who picked Jane over Kenny were verbally agressed in the comments (as well as an abnormal racio of dislikes). And I don't even want to talk about Cluke or the rule 34 stuff. It's a big relief that things calmed down for now. I know every community has its fair share of haters but I just feel like TWD's haters are more...passionate. So, no, even though the game is amazing the community has flaws.
But still, if you ignore the few bad sides, this forum is full of kind, funny and passionate members who are great people to discuss with. I wouldn't want to scare you away from this community, after all
I agree with the Kenny and Jane part. I had a pretty hard time here since I picked Jane xD
But overall, it's not the worst community :P
No, even though I did say in the post that I made my account in Novemeber last year, I was here when the "Jane vs Kenny threads" were everywhere, and yeah that was a rough time, but that was the exact same as "Lilly vs Kenny" and everything like that, and like you mentioned "Cluke" and "rule 34" (that's fucking sick as well who ever made that is disgusting) but.. I mean look at the community now, like you said it has calmed down but I'm not gonna delay the inevitable that when season 3 comes out, there will be flaws on here again but that's just normal here. :P

The forum have its faults, but it is still the friendliest forum I am a part of.
IMO, the best communities are the ones with the most passionate members, even if that means they're kinda aggressive when it comes to their loved characters. I'm not mad at the ones who chose Jane, but those who hate Kenny and never stop whining about him tend to annoy me.

yeah, like someone previously mentioned in a thread of mine, I can't remember actually what it was but they brought in the 'two best friends play' people, personally I don't watch them I find them kind of boring. But apparently all throughout season 1/2 they talked shit about Kenny? Fuck that, MetallicaRules even said, "the series was so much funner to watch when they shut their mouths about Kenny" and other people that constantly complain about shit get on my nerve, BUUUUUT.. Still a great community
It has its ups and downs but I still love the community.
I also picked Jane over Kenny and when I saw the shit going down I thought to myself "welp, time to get out of here" and I took a break from the forum until it calmed down.
But, outside of conflicted time the community is really great (and thank god, not toxic like others) and the people in general are really nice

Now that I think about it... If the fans can be this passionate, it means the game succeded to make them love a chracter and is therefore great; not such a bad thing after all. I'd just like to be able to express my opinions without people saying that I made the "bad" choice and that I'm stupid, coldhearted and such.

Exactly! So long as you think it's the right decision then you can't be wrong, if that's the decision you wanted then it's right for you. Some people may not agree with you but so long as you like that decision then it is right in your head. I'm glad that my opinion helped you change yours' that makes me feel really good actually
I'm not gonna lie sometimes i do go a bit overboard with my feelings especially when someone talks shit about my favorite characters but that is because i am so passionate about this game and yes, like you said they did good at making people attached and passionate about this game because the game is based around your choices not anyone else and you make the decision because you think it's right for the character so it will benefit you and the character.

This community gotta be doin something right since it's the only one I've ever signed up for. It may have it's down sides, but y'all are talking about one of my favorite games all the time so the good outweighs the bad here.

I love this community as well. I finished season 2 a week ago and I needed something to fill the void and share thoughts/opinions with other fans. I'm super lucky to have found this place otherwise I have no idea how I'd deal with this long wait for season 3!

Uh. Guess it just depends on your experiences but I find a majority of this community to have no respect for opinions and to be very arrogant at some times. At the same though the rest of you are pretty cool and its fun talking to you.
I know this community has it's crazy moments, but compared to others, this has probably been the nicest one I've been on in a long time. The people can be really friendly here, and it's fun talking with them...plus! I can whine and complain about my favorite series without anybody ever telling me to shut up.

Also, like I said before people are like that because you have your own opinion and other people have theirs'..` and that's why a lot of people will disagree with you because some people are arrogant and stubborn and will stick to their opinion and don't respect others, and I try not to be like that and I try to be as respectful as possible on this forum because I want this forum to be a nice place, but there will be a few that always stand out and are ignorant but hey, what can ya do.
