Lack of gameplay
Hello there!
This might have been adressed before, but I just finished season 2 last night and I have a few suggestions for the TT staff.
I absolutely LOVED season one. It was a great story told through great gameplay design. I enjoyed season two, but I find that it included very little gameplay mechanics beside the conversation tree. I don't remember once having to think about picking up more than two items or using them more than a couple of minutes later. I hope that season three has more puzzle-like elements to complement the story telling and makes this more of a game than an interactive movie. Season one was well balanced and maybe you should replay it before making season three!
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to have news of season three!

This has been addressed SO many times before.
TT has said that the story is their main objective and if the story organically allows for puzzles that they'll add puzzles; they're not going to add puzzles for the sake of adding puzzles. I agree with you though, I wish it had had more exploration/puzzles
True, it has been addressed many times. However, as he stated he only finished the game recently.
My take on the subject is this Markalark, Season One as we all know was a gamble. Telltale just chucked in pieces from other games that worked, and left out the bits that didn't. That included puzzles and exploration.
They worked long and hard on the story, got some brilliant characters up together and hey presto, Season One.
Telltale hoped The Walking Dead would be popular, as they had invested so much time, money and effort. What they didn't bargain for, was that it would be a phenomenal success.
Problem with a success story like that, is any following Season has got some extremely big shoes to fill. And many people feel that Season Two didn't come close to what came previously.
This is for the following reasons.
Number One - Hardly any puzzles or think time.
Number Two - No Hubs, no chances to talk to characters.
Number Three - No character development, except being killed off just for the hell of it.
Number Four - Clementine herself being unrealistic, not true to how she was in Season One.
Number Five - Big bogey this is, well for some anyway. Kenny returning. Even though everyone knew it was happening.
Number Six - The Jane v Kenny rubbish. Don't even bother going in those threads.
That's just some of the various reasons, off the top of my head why people are disappointed with Season Two.
I personally feel that yes, Season Two has it's flaws. But it's still a hell of alot better than 99.9999999999% of the rubbish out there. So just enjoy it.
When I wrote one sentence about how it's been covered before, I didn't want an essay.
I don't care about this, I'm not going to get into a large scale argument with it, Have a good day.
