Played S1 on PS3, What should I do?

So I played all of the first season on my PS3. Now that all of S2 is released, I was planning on getting it for my PS4. I figured you could transfer memory over from platform to platform, but after some research it looks like that is not the case. So I suppose I could just get season 2 for my PS3, but that brings me to my next conflict. What if S3, or S4 or any season after only comes out for newer generations? Will I never be able to transfer data? If that's the case, should I just start S2 on my PS4 and lose all my data for S1? Can someone who played all of S2 tell me if the decisions from S1 are too important to let slip by the wayside? (Without spoilers). Thanks guys.

    No the season 1 decisions aren't important.

    I played season 1 and 2 on pc because I didn't wanna get it on PS3.
    Recently I got the PS4 and season 2 was one of the free games that came with it, so I replayed it. There are only minor, very very minor dialogue that changes.
    But I noticed that Season 2 on PS4 randomly generated the good decisions in Season 1. Whether it is randomly generated or not...
