Does anyone else think Starved For Help is a little overrated?

  • The episode can strength or weaken your bond with Clementine, shows you that humans are the real monsters, pushes Lilly closer to the edge with her father's death, and shows what Kenny is willing to do to keep his family safe. Thats a whole lot of character development for this episode to just be considered a filler.

And like said before, I love Starved for Help with all my heart. A New Day got me interested in the series, but Starved for Help is what grabbed me on for the whole ride.

Lol. I know how you feel. After reading through the thread again I realized that @Rock114 beat us both.

  • When i first played it, i didn't like it. I felt the whole episode seemed like a Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip off, i think it was manly to do with the fact that the walkers weren't the main antagonists but looking back on it, it is a good episode. I would say not as overrated as No time Left, but it does get a little to much praise.

It made you think that no matter how much someone might appear sincere, you can't trust anyone. Also with the food choices, that plays a big role in the whole season. If you don't feed Kenny or his family, he'll be against you. Lily and Larry same thing, And if you're selfish to give yourself someone and let someone else go hungry. Tough choice. It also reveals that no matter how you die, you come back as a walker unless the brain is destroyed which is an important thing because it's what Lee teaches Clementine when doing shooting practice on the train in episode 3.

I also love the whole beauty of the farm. Telltale doesn't get enough credit with their graphics. The mansion in episode 4 is beautiful and is something i'd like to own one day, the farm is a beautiful thing to look at, most when you see the far shot of Mark and Lee walking around to pick walkers of the fence. Really shows how big and nice the place is.

It also had some of the funniest lines in the series. Like Clementines response to the saltlick. Kenny calling Lee urban. and 2 of the funniest lines i've heard.
Lee to Andy after being caught snooping "Look, ijust came in and found the door like that".
And no one can forget the classic "Put the gun down bitch".

  • Starved For Help is the GOAT.

Not at all. This episode is one of my favourites. I'd say it is the second most epic episode after No Time Left.
