Season 3: how to connect endings?
I mean, there are a lot of finals, all so different and distant from each other. How could it be possible to link them all and 5 and continue the story of Clem? I find it very difficult.
There should be a DLC / Season 3's first episode that focuses only on our ending, so as to merge them into a single point. But this involves five different stories! So this option is impossible.
Season 3 would start randomly against all logic, so this option is not even plausible.
The option that seems possible is to create a small intro in episode one to do what I explained in option one, but short and direct.
What do you think? Do you have any option for the season 3 continues the story of Clem?

I just hope Telltale don't omid Kenny and Jane. Yes, omid has become a verb.
They should have TWD S3 have 6 episodes and the first episode should focus on our endings linking.
I don't think it's impossible. Look at what they're doing with Tales and Thrones, choices seem to be having a huge impact in those games, and many of the writers for those games were writers for TWD S2 and most likely S3, like Pierre Shorette, Andrew Grant, and Eric Stirpe. And considering they have over a year, to have at least one episode revolved around our ending is entirely plausible. Having 5 different first episodes, while it would take time, is possible since they have plenty of time to make it, then they merge all the stories back into one, and Season 3 starts from there. And like @TWD_stan said, a 6 episode Season 3 would be great.
And why not nick out the family?
I have a theory its gonna be a 6 episode season, similar to Game of Thrones. First episode hugely changes for each player, but by the beginning of Episode 2 the stories are the same.
They'll probably make it 2 endings as opposed to 5.
Clem in Wellington, Clem with Kenny, Clem alone: All end up with Clem in Wellington. Kenny dies 'emotionally' in the second, and Clem enters Wellington with his hat. Clem alone manages to find her way to Wellington.
Clem and Jane + Family, Clem and Jane with no family: All end up with Clem, Jane and the Family in Howe's. The family came back and basically forced their way in.
I don't want this to happen, but I think it will.
I'm thinking it'll be like this, you know how in ep. 2 TFTB (or TWAU ep. 3) we got different ways the story played out from making a "BIG DECISION", with new characters and dialogue being slightly different. It'll be like that with the endings (on a much bigger scale) and it'll just seamlessly synch up.
I've got a question to add to this. Clearly a good amount of people played this on the 360 and ps3 (and the dreaded I lost my save on the PC), BUT what about those who do not want to buy the game again and want to go straight into S3 on the current Gen. How will Telltale handle that? Do we pick our ending or they pick for us?
Considering that not everybody will be buying DLC (if there's gonna be one), the reasonable explanation would be to make one episode of S3 a story based on whichever ending you got, leading to the same point for everyone.
The another possibility is to change a playable protagonist, which creates NPC Clementine with different stories to tell, in case TT would like the players to have some sort of explanation of of how she's been doing. One sequence of dialogue would be the simplest and most convenient way to connect all the endings.
I guess it will be all random, like with the choices for episodes you haven't completed.
Yeah I got a feeling it's going to be something like that, since like you said they already have a system in place.
I agree with you, there will be 2 different stories instead of 5. I think exactly the same for Wellington's part but I'm not sure for Howe's, imo Jane will die anyway, killed by the family if you didn't let them in and killed by another person who wants to come in/by a zombie/by the family if they are in.
They will make a summary of S2 at the beginning. If we don't have a S2 save on the console we are playing S3, they could end this summary by asking "Who do you want to go with? 1.Kenny 2.Jane 3.Alone" and then make us choose Wellington/Kenny or family in/family out.
I hope they will do this, because I played S1 and S2 on PS3, I won't buy new Gen for now and I don't want random choices. It would be very easy for them to ask us what we prefer, and so stupid not to do it if they plan different beginnings based on our choices !
Haha
Probably they will. You know, they are Determinant!
Telltale always had a plan for the 5 endings to S2, in anticipation of S3 surely they must have something planned out to connect all the endings in S2 to branch out into S3?
Maybe the Alone ending branches out into Clem moving to Wellington, the same effect as Clem choosing to leave Kenny for Wellington.
But there's also the option of continuing to travel with Kenny and reject Wellington, which means Wellington probably won't be a main setting in S3, therefore even if Clem did choose Wellington it would have fallen at some point between S2 and S3.
So it seems no matter what choice you make, Wellington has to fall. Maybe the new DLC will be about the Fall of Wellington? And Clem might have a cameo in the DLC depending on the player's S2 choice on whether or not she ended up in Wellington?
But then there's also the Howe's Warehouse endings, I think no matter what choice you make the family (or at least the suspicious Dad) will betray Clem and Jane, which will also result in Jane being killed while protecting Clem, to compensate for the alternate ending of Clem either leaving Jane or letting Kenny kill her.
A similar compensation would be needed for Kenny, he needs to either die or be missing for good in the opening of S3:
Clem can either leave him (after which we never see him again), or shoot him (killing him off), or continue travelling with him (from which we can assume he didn't last long and eventually died, either from sickness or getting killed by bandits).
Its likely that S3 will have a new previously unseen opening location entirely, we can either expect Clem to be on her own (and dragging AJ) or with yet another new group, it will be important to at least acknowledge the player's choices made at the end of S2.
It is hard to see how the upcoming DLC could possible tailor around the 5 divergent endings, its more than likely S3 will begin anew.
I'd much rather have Clem return for S3 than have her replaced with a new protagonist, especially after the endings to S2 I'm dying to know how her story continues, it would be a great let down if she was side tracked in favour or some new character.
I think they will just start off with 5 different intros and once everything goes to shit there will be a time skip and that's how they will merge
This. I like this.
