Like I said, I get why she did it. Rick's mind is clouded because of Jessie, and he needs a wakeup call, for sure.
EDIT: Let me clarify. Michonne did the right thing. Rick can't make that sort of power move without consulting the group 1st. I agreed with him when he said that if the people of Alexandria can't make it, they'll just take it from them. But, that was not the time.
Well to be honest Rick was probably gonna get shot if he kept talking. I don't think there was any way for that to end possitively for Rick … moreand he was DEFINANTLY not taking over during that (like i said Alexandrians were probably gonna make an exeption for crazyhusbandbeatingcopman)
The last 5 or so episodes of Season 5 of The Walking Dead are all references to a speech Dale gave back in Season 1 of the show. The speech:
I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire, which will fit your individual needs no better than it did mine or my father's before me, I give it to you not that you may Remember time, but that you may Forget it for a moment now and then and not Spend all of your breath Trying to Conquer it.
Really good episode, looking forward to the season finale. And though I knew what Michonne was gonna do (because of the comics) it didn't make it any easier
"You still don't get it. None of you do. We know what needs to be done and we do it. We're the ones who live. You just sit and plan and hesitate. You pretend like you know when you don't. You wish things weren't what they are. You want to live? You want this place to stay standing? Your way of doing things are done. Things don't get better because you want them to. Starting right now, we have to live in the real world. We have to control who lives here. Your way is going to destroy this place. It's going to get people killed. If you don't fight, you die."
Shane's barn speech:
"Enough risking our lives for a little girl who's gone. Enough living next to a barn full of things that are trying to kill us! Enough! Rick, it ain't like it was before! Now if ya'll wanna live, if you wanna survive, you gotta fight for it! I'm talking about fight! Right here, right now!"
It doesn't line up exactly, but the meaning is the same. Shane's mentality in general is completely in line with Rick's speech from last night.

"No way out" is unlikely to happen,im guessing we find out who the damn Wolves are (the people putting W's on walker heads),and maybe Morgan? That'd be great.
I know she has PTSD. That doesn't change the fact that she's horribly uninteresting and selfish. She goes out in the forest and starts shooting walkers and then when Michonne and that other girl comes (can't remember her name) she tells them to leave as a giant horde comes at them. Obviously they aren't just going to leave Sasha alone to take on a hoard, so she is basically forcing them to stay and fight to protect her stupid ass. Almost all the characters in the show have suffered PTSD at some point, but Sasha's the only one to be a gigantic douche about it, for nearly an entire season.
Sasha is suffering from PTSD and has suffered the most out of everybody in the group this season. She lost Bob right when they were beginnin… moreg to get romantically involved, very soon after lost her own brother, and now she is feeling immense guilt over what she said to Noah before he too died. She's thinking mainly of herself, sure, but she's pretty damn interesting to me.
It's similar to Kenny in season 2. He arguably took the most pain and misery the whole season, and I never agreed with people who said that he sucked because "everyone else has lost someone too". What truly pissed me off the entire time was his propensity to fly right off the damn handle at every opportunity and start some shit with somebody. I understand grieving in one's own way. I don't respect looking for a fight.
Sasha's not doing that though. The only time Sasha put people in danger was back in "Them", when her actions nearly got Rick bitten, and I didn't excuse … [view original content]
Gotta admit it was a bit of a bitch move for michonne to just coward punch rick like that.. I mean he's basically put his whole life on the … moreline multiple times to protect the group, I mean I think he deserves a little better treatment than that from Michonne. But I can see why she did it, he looked crazy in front of everyone and she de escalated the situation, by the time rick wakes up he should be calm again.

I'll agree to disagree on the uninteresting front. And yes, she's thinking selfishly, like a lot of people do when they've suffered a shitload of pain, and like almost every single character, if not every single character, has at some point. Hell, that's the whole reason Michonne is trying to help her. Not really a reason to count her out for me, or I'd have counted out all the characters by now.
Obviously they aren't just going to leave Sasha alone to take on a hoard, so she is basically forcing them to stay and fight to protect her stupid ass.
No, she isn't. Not only is that a silly notion that simplifies the whole idea of human autonomy, you must have forgotten when Michonne booked it out of there when Tyreese went crazy and was surrounded by a horde himself. When it's time to leave, it's time to leave, even if someone you care about on some level is in trouble. Michonne and Rosita put themselves in danger, not Sasha.
Sasha asks nothing of them except to leave. And she doesn't have some kind of deep bond with Michonne or Rosita that would make her think they just can't leave without her. This is the same kind of crap as people blaming Noah for Tyreese's death because he had the desire to go to his home, despite the fact that he asked absolutely nothing of Tyreese and Tyreese made his own choice to go in and scope out the house.
but Sasha's the only one to be a gigantic douche about it
Nope. Season 3 Rick was another one, and it was why he stepped down as leader. Nothing Sasha has done has been nearly as destructive as Rick back then, where he nearly gave up Michonne and was willing to keep everyone in harm's way under his rule while the Governor got closer and closer.
Also in Season 3, Michonne was doing a lot of the same thing as Sasha as well. She was a moody loner, acted out, was confrontational, kept everything to herself which caused a lot of the mess afterwards, gave ultimatums when things didn't go her way, told Rick she didn't need his help when he saved her, and so on. The fact that the Governor did turn out to be a complete bastard doesn't change her selfish actions.
Also Andrea after the death of her sister. Also Glenn after Woodbury as well in season 3 (wow, a lot of people were dicks in season 3...) when he became confrontational, selfish by his own admission later, and reckless. Also- ah, screw it. The point is, a lot of characters have been dicks numerous times due to going through horrible events.

It was, tho, mostly because of one line: "Noah... I told him he wouldn't make it." That had a lot of impact for me, probably more than was intended. I liked the callback, and it made me understand her a lot more. She's closing herself off, but things like that still get through to her and make her feel even worse.
So she doesnt want ricks help at first because she finds him creepy but then wants his help when hes even more creepy?
I don't think she found him creepy. I think alluding to the fact that she's married was just to show that it still holds value in a closed off, old world community like Alexandria. Additionally, I think she showed signs that a lot of abuse victims do, when they think they don't deserve any better than what they have, the way she excused Pete and tried to say she'd handle it and make it better. I personally think Rick telling her what Sam said to Carol about wanting a gun was the tipping point that got her to listen.
It could have been someone random from Alexandria in that scene.
Not really, because Rosita brought up to Michonne that she seemed to have shut down because of them finding something, unlike her when she shut down because she lost something after Eugene's deception came to light. That whole story was necessary for Rosita to bring up Michonne's demeanor. Could have been someone else, yeah, but it's pretty necessary to start bringing the relatively newer characters into the fold more.
Don't get me wrong, Rosita is still largely a non-entity in desperate need of development. Sadly, that's pretty true of Rosita in the comic as well, so I guess they're following the source material on that front, lol. Still, I'm glad she got something, at least.
Thoughts
* Another fantastic episode for Sasha (oh wait)
* The teenage love drama was okay I guess, its nice to have another kid tha… morets not crazy (i'm gonna eat those words i'm guessing)
* Glad the finale is longer than normal but wondering how and what they are going to do for it, For the point I want them to reach in the comics they've got quite a bit to go.
* No Tara, No Eugene and most all no Maggie or Gabriel?. Even one scene with each could have let us know their thoughts about everything last week.
* The fight was cool, though why any of ricks people (besides carl) just stood their I have no idea. Jessies response to the whole thing is weird even for someone facing trauma. So she doesnt want ricks help at first because she finds him creepy but then wants his help when hes even more creepy?
* Rosita is such a non entitiy I dont know what to say. Literally no opinion of her whatsoever, good or bad, It could have been someone random from Alexandria in that scene.
Disagree with everything. Everybody in this show pisses me off at one point or another, I'm not saying Sasha's the only one to do that. Rick went through just as much shit as Sasha, and although he was seriously fucked up for a long period of time, he still fought like hell to help the group in whatever way possible. For as fucked up as he was, he was the only one to have spoken with the Governor face to face. I don't think he ever " stepped down as leader", despite the shit he went through. He still carried the load on his shoulders. Sure, he wanted to farm, and it wasn't a Ricktatorship anymore, but he was still the leader.
Also, to say that Michonne and Rosita would abandon Sasha is seriously underestimating the group. They risked their lives to save Father Gabriel and they had no idea who the fuck he was. They would do anything for each other, that's the difference between them and the people of Alexandria. The Tyreese situation isn't a fair comparison imo. Just because Sasha told them to leave doesn't mean it wouldn't have been her fault had Michonne or Rosita died. It totally would have been her fault, 100%.
Glenn, Michonne, Maggie, Rick, Carol, etc. have all been annoying at one point or another, but they've never cut themselves off and made as little effort to help as Sasha has. She's not sniping to help the group, she's sniping because she wants to take her anger out and be alone. She doesn't give a shit about the others, and hasn't for some time.
Sasha can certainly come back from this, and who knows, maybe she'll become one of my favorite characters eventually, but her act has grown tiresome imo. At this moment, if she got killed off, I wouldn't care, not one bit.
That doesn't change the fact that she's horribly uninteresting and selfish

Moral of this episode: You either die a Dale, or live long enough to see your self become the Shane.
Right now I am using vita, won't be on the computer til tomorrow. I'll post them then.

Yup, the "Tainted meat" story, and the best shot of the group.I hope she becomes more sane though, those walls are driving her crazy.

I was looking for a decent video of the scene, but couldn't fine one. This particular video happens to be blocked in the U.S. apparently.
But yes, I think that's probably the scene they were looking for. I edited my original comment to add his speech in.

Oh.. nvm. I was beaten to it. :P
I think Michionne did good, somebody could have shot Rick, in some way she saved his life
Rosita is the one who went with Michonne
Then they'll huff and puff and.......well you know what happened
Nah its probably the Wolves (the people who caused No way out). This season will most likely end with the beggining of No way out as a cliffhanger
