She (her parents or maybe Clem was a self-made 8 year-old millionaire) had a tree house and a pool too alongside her two story house. Girl must've been upper middle class. If Clementine was spoiled, she sure as hell didn't act like it around Lee. Worst I think we got out of her was that she missed her parents and gets a little hungry every now and then.
Just from looking around her house, I don't think she was necessarily spoiled. Her family had a pool and a two story house with an average-sized backyard and a tree house. She had a tea set and a coloring book. We don't even know what type of doctor and engineer her parents were, which can make a difference in income. If she was spoiled, she also certainly didn't act like she was.
If only they had been rich enough to take a trip to the Bahamas instead of Savannah.
Lee and Clem would be relaxing on an island by now.
Well... If they had a boat to get there.
Being born into a middle-class family doesn't automatically equate to being spoiled. You're only spoiled if you don't appreciate the advantages and security that brings. And aside from that, her parents died when she was very young, so even if she was, she definitely isn't now.

I was just going off of the context that we were given and the setting of Clementine's childhood. Their house seemed perfectly normal for a middle to upper-middle class family. I agree with you though about house size not really being a huge deciding factor of someone's wealth.

serious cash. i'm laughing over here.
FYI, they were'nt poor neither rich. but more inbetween.
Serious cash is when your on the phone with your Indian Banker, trying to set up multiple accounts Abroad.
When you build a school in your families name.
The Op is a troll in my opinion... Trying to stir shit up in the community....
I'd say they were probably upper Middle Class, but not rich necessarily.
She was so humble though... I think personality is what counts, not money.
I agree with her being upper middle class. Not rich, but had a comfortable way of life.
Middle-class, i think is the term for that.
Maybe Justin from 400 days stole some money from Clem's parents.
unlikely
Isn't upper middle class rich, considering how much they'd earn relative to most other people?

They would have to take Kenny with them, then
Plenty of islands on the Bahamas. He could have one all to himself. I'd insist.

Yup like most of us.
House size does not mean anything. I know rich people who live in smaller houses than mine. Mine isn't that big.
Uhh, no... Most US families earn less than $50K a year, if 30K at that.

"most of us" on the forums. I'm not a American though.
and in general there are more poor people than rich. obviously.
I hear GA housing is relatively affordable compared to the Metro NY/LI housing. I don't assume they are rich; their money just goes a long way.
