If these survivors were actually smart about this whole thing

edited March 2015 in The Walking Dead

Smart survivors wouldn't just join the first group they see and wait a bit. Sure there are strength in numbers but all those nut cases who enjoy the situation would be a huge liability. However, at somepoint working societies that increase their population need to appear if the humans want to make comeback. It's very likely that destroying the body becomes mandatory by law until the human civilization has researched a cure and used it. However a great deal of knowledge needs to be researched again unless a sizable amount of researches survive until the walkers have rotten away.

Of course, working society that pulls it off would probably make a poor fiction unless done right, thus they probably keep killing each other.

  • At the point civilization is at, it will take centuries, maybe even millennia for it to recover. Finding a cure is almost out of the question.

Humans are greedy by nature as well.

I'm not entirely what the point of your post was though, can you explain it a little more clearly?

Why is that? I don't get it. Who knows how the rest of the world is, from what i understand the TWDG universe is solely USA. They could have the epidemic in remission or cured in some areas. I think the story would be more interesting if they had this dynamic to the storyline, and trying to enter one of these colonies and be turned away at the gates, because they're already over capacity to the max.

I'm more interested on how people deal with a ZA, not the ZA itself to be honest.

Well, since the CDC episode in the show said the whole world got infected, and if the comics were to change that the show probably couldn't follow it and undermine like everything

And since everyone is infected, it's probably airborne, and the winds spread it.

  • That's a good point.

It could be that only North American continent is entirely infected. Meaning that USA is just being barred from rest of the planet (if anyone tries to escape from their continent, shoot them on sight.)

  • I don't know, my logical side is fighting this so hard. I know its just a story, but the Seinfield in me can't let it go, It just seems kind of unrealistic, that everyone would get "infected." to a disease they had no clue they had, then everywhere the world falls apart. We got tanks, 50 cal machine guns.
