No, the people who make the ratings are.....or the parents who freak out at stupid stuff thereby causing ratings to get so screwy.

It's definitely worth the price, although it's a little puzzling why they don't let you play the classic version with voice overs. I understand they wanted to keep the original exactly as it was, but what's the problem with having an option?

What? Whaaat? No voices for the old 1990 view? Really?

...I...don't remember voices when I played Secret of Monkey Island the first time. Were there voices in 1990? If not, why would they be in the 1990 view?

    Nope

We considered it. But after a lot of debate we wanted to give fans the original untouched. It was a tough call, but we ultamtely decided tht the original has it's charm as is, while the new version should b a total option, with nothing forced on the player. Hope you guys understand.

By the way, I would to buy it SMI:SE but not the Steam version. LucasArts said there would use others platforms but which one ??? We are the 15th and no news about it !!!

Because the 1990 view is better IMO. And after listening to Guybrush's voice in the newer games, its hard to go back to reading text.

They didn't say the download size will be 2.5 GB. Think of it, Telltale games too need much more harddisk space than the size of the download. For instance, Sam & Max season one is about 444 MB in setups and 1,34 GB installed, despite parts of it like Ogg Vorbis tracks can't be even compressed in the setup file. Maybe MI1:SE has uncompressed audio and voice (I don't know), that would make the difference even bigger. So 500 MB vs. 2.5 GB seems believable to me.

But, correct me if I'm wrong, XBox360 Live Arcade games don't download as an install file that the system then "installs" on the 360. So it's not like it's coming in to XBoxes at 500MB, then installing to 2.5GB. It's coming in, ready to play, at 500MB.

So if it's ready to play at 500MB, why assume the PC version will come in with an installer that's 500MB, but that installs a game that takes up 2.5GB?

I agree that a 500MB install to a 2.5GB game seems feasible (if still a bit of a stretch in my opinion). But why assume the 500MB on XBox is install program size?

    Downloading too YAY

Downloading now as well. 2.5gig seems quite large though for a remake of this robust penguin. Perhaps it's all the voice work?

    Hurray Hurray :)

I'm ashamed to say that I just bought it. I'm really hoping that I can somehow get this out of my Steam account (It's a SCUMM game after all)

AMD's architecture is very different from Intel's, that why they call the processors things like 3000+, it's to indicate that although it runs below 2GHZ it's equivalent to a 3GHZ P4 processor. That was back when all that meant something though as the new dual core and Core 2 line are way faster with much lower clock speeds.

Ah, I have never thought that AMD might have so much better performance than Intel, despite owning AMD processor myself and I have just focused to Ghz value. I bought AMD without even bothering to compare it's performance to Intel, because I haven't used any other processors in last decade or so.

I have 2,2 Ghz AMD processor and I never bought Fallout 3, because requirements said that 2,4 Ghz processor is required (although now that I take a closer look it mentions that it means Intel's numbers), so if you're correct my computer should be able to run that game. Good to know, maybe I finally buy it to see if it completely ruins the series or not.

I believe it is because the xbox version lacks the deathmatch and ctf modes.

Or something to do with microsoft imposing filesize limits to cut bandwidth costs. I know that the wii has an absurdly small limit but not sure on xbox.

    What's a ctf mode
