How much of an impact do you think Carver and Stranger had on Clementine
Clementine can submit to them both (determinate). I like to think both intimidated her and made her worry for her safety.

Zero.
She can submit to The Stranger? I thought she always shoots The Stranger if Lee fucks up choking him. Also I'd like to think Clementine was just telling Carver what he wanted to hear during the conversation they had in ep.3 (the detriment dialogue), because literally in the next part your discussing how to break out his camp. Plus during the breaks in conversation she was sizing his office up looking for anything that could help in her escape. idk just the way I interpreted all of it.
In my play-through I got Lee to choke out the stranger and just walk away so Clem didn't have to see me kill a dude out of vengence. If anything came out that mess it was for Clem to be wary of trusting people completely (which is a good thing), but had to be learned the hard way. My Clementine wasn't really affected by Carver (since I was the one playing as her), because I knew he was just an asshole on a power trip and I made sure I never gave him what he wanted.
I always assumed that Lee choked him to death or, Clem shot him.
Yeah lol I learned that later. First time through I thought I just suffocated the poor bastard, but everyone here says that Lee killed him. When Clem said "he'll just come back" I thought she meant that he will try and chase us down as a human. Then Lee reassures Clem that "we'll be long gone" so I may have interpreted what happened wrong. O well lol.
Well the truth is, he could be alive. It takes up to three to five minutes to choke someone to death realistically, Lee didn't even do a minute. It takes a extremely long time to kill someone that way, you have to continue to choke even after they pass out. So in a realistic sense i guess he would be alive.
For my Clementine, the Stranger had much more of an impact. I told myself before I played season 2 that I wouldn't trust anyone unless I already knew them (like Kenny, Christa and Omid). This thinking even caused me to not forgive Nick in ep. 1, among other things. Eventually I/my Clem lightened up some and became Sarah's friend (I did do the pinkie swear, but mostly out of peer pressure at the time. I almost didn't do it. I like Sarah now.) and was (mostly) nice to even the characters that I didn't like.
Carver? Well, I just played around with him. I pretended to agree with him about everything because I was hoping I could get some sort of insider info that he would then be willing to tell me and then I'd tell the group the info and betray Carver, but no such thing. What a shame. My Clem isn't even mentally scarred from watching his death. I left with Sarita (I think it was Sarita. I only played season 2 once). So for my Clem, he had basically zero impact.
I think The Stranger had an enormous impact on Clementine. For starters, I believe it was a key eye opener for her, in other words, it gave her insight on this new apocalyptic world. Not EVERYONE is who they say they are, and not everyone is a good person. In this world, people will KILL YOU to suit their own needs. I like to believe it showed her she shouldn't let her guard down against complete strangers, even if they claim to be a good person that's only out to help.
Carver, on the other hand, really showed her what kind of people the apocalypse harbored. Carver had his reasons for doing things, and I liked his character, but he committed senseless murders (Example, Reggie.)
