The Main Theme of Season Three
I think the main theme of Season Three should be recovery.
Nowadays many people suffer from self loathing, suicidal feelings, depression, anxiety, mental illnesses and other horrible effects and these are in some of our best and richest economies and societies.
So imagine how bad it would be in the apocalypse. Now I'm not saying that I want a cast of characters labelled with mental illnesses, eating disorder, etc.
However I would like to see Clementine dealing with survivors guilt and other characters dealing with other issues from the past which they try to escape in their newfound community.
The player will have to find ways to deal with their own past, whilst helping others in their community. During Episode 3, Clementine will be on a scavenging mission with a cast of other characters that the player will have bonded with. However they are separated from their community when the mission goes wrong and has to help this scavenging group confront their past and survive the turmoils of a decreptic past.
Whether Clementine recovers from her past experiences or not, she's going to have to, otherwise she will die.
So that's the summary of it. What do you think?

Clem having PTSD and survivor's guilt would definitely be understandable and could very well be a prevalent theme in Season 3. Back in Episode 1 of Season 1, Lee had his dream about his wife, showing he was troubled by the events that happened. Based on some of the things you did in Season 2, like maybe if you watched Carver die, Clem could have dreams or flashbacks about that event, that would be interesting to see. And as the season progresses, it can deal with Clementine coming to terms with all of it and, with the help of the people around her, deal with the issues.
I love your idea about having nightmares for Clem, depending on your choices.
Whether you shot Kenny or let Jane die, they could be nightmares too. The gunshot that ended Kenny or Jane's last cry for life.
Maybe a nightmare of Sarah screaming Clenentines name of seeing Luke frozen in the late or drowning under ice.
Different nightmares for different choices.
I like it. It has merit. That concept, plus some smart decisions by the Telltale people, THIS could be the best season of the game. And of those still to come (hopefully).
I want the theme to be Redemption or Justice but yours sounds amazing too.
There actually was something in Season 1 with Lee having nightmares. It was cut out of the game, though.

Thank you
This is hilarious.
Both you and HarjKS need to be writers for Telltale. No. You should be the lead writers for Season 3.
Why did they cut this out? This would make a great scene.
Trust me, you don't want me writing anything, I can't write for shit, but thanks for that.
Have the previous two seasons had overriding themes?
That would actually be really interesting to see
I could imagine her having a series of surreal nightmares based on prior decisions: seeing Luke drowning, Carver getting killed, Sarah being left behind, etc
Telltale have stated in an interview that season 2 was meant to be a formalative 'growing up' for clementine, implying they still want to tell more with her story.
Also most players don't get a disney ending, so wouldn't really be fair to let 1/5 of players get a conclusive ending and just say fuck off to the players who got ones with near cliffhangers.
IS PTSD now the joke disease for this game. I am starting to feel a little offended. Pick something else.
Great..
Are you kidding me Flog? We got the disney ending, Clementine should of been dead in episode one when she fell into a moving river unconscious, Somehow she suffers through this season and tops it off with a gunshot.
Wouldn't that be a example of Disney writing, IE. Clementine's miraculous survival?
I wish i could get shot and just shrug it off without medical attention. Its fine, because it went "right through." LoL K.
