Today, we celebrate Queen frontman Freddie Mercury's 71st birthday. Arguably the greatest frontman history as ever had. No one can chicken strut across a stage playing an air guitar with a bottomless microphone while having such a charismatic appeal at the same time as much as him. Queen and Freddie influenced and inspired many artists from Lady Gaga (she even got her name from their song Radio Ga Ga), Katy Perry to Wiz Khalifa.
The concert considered "the 20 minutes that changed music." Freddie mesmerizes the audience with his superpowers.
Unfortunately, Freddie had been diagnosed with AIDS in 1987. He still gave it his all. He was literally on his deathbed when he was recording the vocals to the song "Mother Love". Freddie felt too ill to finish off his lines for the song and said he will come back tomorrow and finish it off. He never did. Sadly, Freddie passed away on the 24th of November in 1991 due to complications from his illness. Queen guitarist Brian May recorded the last verse himself.
I can recall seeing a picture of Freddie in the newspaper but only very vaguely since I was only young back then. For some reason that image is stamped into my head.
Happy Birthday and thank you Freddie for your glory days and blessing us with a footprint in the history of music for the rest to follow.
The new set recreation of the Live Aid concert, for the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody looks awesome so far. I had a chance to be a extra in it but I didn't have the 80's look

Usually, I post songs for my own amusement. This one is for you.
Probably one of the greatest mash-ups I've heard. This song is better than both originals. With those being from The Beatles and Metallica, that's saying something. Genius.
