Did season 5 lie to us?
Remember the promos for season 5? Hunt or be hunted. It was literally in every promo trailer and in every promo picture! It sounded like the hunters would be a major threat. The trailer! in one trailer Rick said something like "Come with us to dc" and it shows a scene of Gareth saying "Okay" like he was talking to Rick. So what do you think? Was Amc and Walking Dead lying to us? Note that the original trailer with the Gareth scene was taken down after the episode with Gareth's death.

The trailers are designed to make you think something else will happen. At least the scenes shown happen in some way unlike the game.Most people at the time realized that it was being misleading as gareth and rick were never show together.
Hmm, Well in a lot of cases, Gareths team weren't the only Hunters. I mean, Look at Dawn's group. She looked for people, took them in, and made them stay, so the whole "Hunt or Be Hunted" Thing was still there for a while.
Pretty much the trailers i think were scenes from the actual episodes of season 5 linked together with vocals from other episodes to throw the fans off balance of what was gonna happen
I was personally caught off guard as the trailer made it seem like they spoilt half the Season lol I though Gareth was going to somehow turn good and he was the one being told that if he hurt his family he'd die.... guess it was just me
