Mark was also there so players could know that during those 3 months timeskip the group didn't just sit doing nothing. I mean, that they had lifes, made some decisions etc.
Carver and The Stranger provided a threat to every group member
Carver- Kill Alvin and Walt- Capture The Group- Beat Kenny and Luke.
T… morehe Stranger- Got the entire group lost- Successfully brainwashed Clementine-Remained a constant Ant threat to Lee
Mark and Chuck basically existed for a solo purpose. Mark was only there to make the St. Johns look like monsters, Chuck was only there to give Lee advice and enhance the relationship with Lee and Clem
Doesn't change the fact that off screens deaths you're talking about happens all the time. Not only in The Walking Dead but yeah, we're talking about that. Like I said, there were off screen deaths both in TV Show and in the comics. I get what you're saying but there is always a chance that we will see such death again. That's how the world works. Sometimes it's just happened. Like with Nick.
Katjaa's death was, literally, offscreen. And I understand what you mean but that's not really what I'm complaining about. If telltale decid… moreed to not show Sarah being eaten alive, but we were present at the moment (like Ben's or Katjaa's death) it doesn't mean they killed her totally offscreen. The only death in season 1 that I recall being similar to nick's death is chuck's death. But I, personally, don't consider him a main character. And Mark's death is not exactly offscreen, only because we did not see the exactly moment when he turned to a zombie it doesn't make it offscreen, we saw him struggling to live. But yeah, I get what you're saying even that's not being my real problem with offscreen deaths.
I feel like a good chunk of the Cabin group got decent development besides Pete (killed off too early), Alvin (the thing with him killing George should've been explored waaaay more, lots of missed potential there), and Sarah (the point of teaching her how to protect herself was...?). Maybe you can throw in Carlos there as well.
Luke and Rebecca seemed to have gotten the most development.
Gameplay hub areas and puzzles with a lot of exploration to truly immerse yourself in the surroundings like season 1 less cut scenes and more interaction

I would have Season 3 take place out West, and include location like The Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, Utah's Mount Zion, etc.
From what I understand, there will be another game to bridge Season 2 and 3 together, like 400 days, so I would have the new playable character be introduced during that minigame.
I would like the character to be a Caucasian man between 30-40 year old.
I guess another thing I'd add is more of an optimistic tone to Season 3.
After the dark tone that was prevalent in Season 2, I feel that Season 3 should be a bit more upbeat, a time of renewal if you will.
One more thing I'd add is, quit killing off every determinate character that comes around.
After a while it's like, why bother to save them if they're just going to end up dead?

Actual character development unlike the Cabin Group

More death!
I mean... wait!
Less death!
Yeah, that's what I mean. For a second there, I lost myself.
I want a flashback with lee in it

Decisions that matter.
Choices that make an IMPACT on HOW you play.
Luke and Rebecca were certainly the most developed, but I feel like overall they were killed too early.
Pete had sooooo much potential but got killed off so early it makes me mad.
Nick and Alvin get no development after Episode 2 (if they survive it).
Carlos was there in Episode 1 and 2 to just provide an overshadowing figure on Sarah then to get killed off in Episode 3 imo.
Sarah was there just to show how different kids can react in the ZA, only to be killed off without giving her a chance to change.
Lilly's return. and Hopefully Clem and Her are good friends, I remember Lilly was quite fond of Clem in my Playthrough.
The setting to take place around my area
Someone (preferably a few and a couple of determinants) surviving the season with clementine
New Characters, that are more like me.

No Clementine.
Christa.
That's all I need.
