Why was TWD Season 2 and Editor's Choice, but not Season 1?

I had no idea this was the case until I learned that Season 2 was even available, but it definitely colored my perception of Season 2 that it received that distinction from the App Store before I played it.

Oh I don't know. Maybe because everyone would've already played it or something. Oh it would've been rated on the previous season. The editor played season one and enjoyed it. Then put his recommendation down for the second.

  • I remembered thinking that the Editor's Choice for Season 2 probably meant that it had a great deal more branching than Season 1. I haven't played through either season multiple times, but from what I have read, it did have more meaningful decisions. I hope Season 3 expands quite a bit more than the previous 2.

  • Same. My great fear is that the DLC coming before Season 3 is going to force us all to have the same beginning for Season 3. Maybe, that won't happen, because they're taking their time on Season 3. Maybe we'll have multiple protags, and the return of our dialogue choices mattering. I wouldn't mind if we all ended up having a uniform season 3, if only they might spend the first three or four episodes getting us to that point somehow, so on each our save files we'd have a different playthrough for the first few episodes.
