I'm interested on how they'll look like aswell. Season 2's episode slides were cool, too bad they didn't match the episodes though one thing I liked about S2 was that each slide had a certain track play to match the tone of the episode. Unlike S1 which was just the same old background ambiance for all episodes. I hope the slides for the Michonne series actually match each episode. I also hope they're all unique and different. Even though I 100% believe one of the slides will just be Michonne killing a walker XD
Episodes are typically five dollars, and I don't suspect that will change here. I'd expect the game to be $15 overall with some minor pre-order discount.
When they have an official release date that's when they should first mention it.
Various posts from Job hint that this is indeed the case; the only problem really lies in that the time they get date confirmations usually isn't too far from when they release their episodes. I imagine the "soon" teasing usually starts when they know they are close to releasing the episode, but don't have hard dates to give yet.
I don't get why they bother with all these silly little teases like "Coming Soon" and "Just around the corner". When they have an official release date that's when they should first mention it.
Good lord, this week is gonna be a big one. Games will be released and the news of TWD Michonne and hopefully the ones of Minecraft Story Mode Finale are going to be big I hope.
I was looking on the Michonne mini series press page and i noticed that there was a small uptate to the key art.

It looks like her model changed slightly and they removed "Games" from the logo.
They seem to be changing their minds about the title all the time. First it was Telltale Games mini-series, then Telltale Games series, now Telltale Mini-series. That's probably the reason for delay, they can't figure out the title XD
I guess the original was from their basic concept art for Michonne. I thought at the time her character model might change, but it just looks sharper and a lot more detailed.

Good catch. I guess with the original art they wanted to appeal to comic book fans, in the sense of 'Look, she has chained pets just like when they first met her!', but for obvious reasons she can't be carrying chains around with her at all times, so in the game they changed it to ropes, which aren't hard to find.

Telltale has already said there won't be any game characters. It also wouldn't make much sense, the last time we saw Clem she was in Michigan. Granted, that was about two years before the Michonne series in the comic timeline, but Michonne is definitley someplace warm, coastal Georgia maybe. I guess it would make sense for her to go back to Georgia if she wants to deal with her past.

On the newer version, she looks slightly more muscular. She's also wearing her orange gloves (which I don't really remember from the comics but whatever).

Weird, that's the second time they changed the Telltale subtitle; first time they changed it back in December, it went from "A Telltale Games Miniseries" to "A Telltale Games Series", now it's back to being called a "A Telltale Miniseries." Interesting.

It would be pretty cool if they did that but unfortunately it won't happen, they normally post teasers and release dates in advance and it hasn't been rated yet so there is no chance of a release today.
They didn't actually say that there wouldn't be any game characters, just that the game will be focusing on characters that weren't part of Telltale's other games.
They won't be seeing anyone who showed up in season two (as you said, the location and timelines don't match up, as this game takes place during the events of season two - as both these stories take place about two years into the apocalypse), but there's a possibility of characters from season one or 400 Days that didn't show up in season two to show up in The Walking Dead: Michonne (Molly, Nate, Eddie, etc.).

Another interesting change is that "A Telltale Miniseries" is trademarked. I wonder if they're planning to make other short seasons in the "Telltale Miniseries" line (if not, it would be strange to go through the expense and hassle to trademark the term).

Doesn't Michonne play after the two year timeskip though? Carl is 13 by now and was 9 when the outbreak started, which means that Michonne takes place 4 years in the apocalypse, while Telltale is only about 2 1/2 years in.

I just noticed that episode 1 has been rated "R16" by New Zealand and the first episode appears to be called "In Too Deep"

Edit: It has also been rated 18 by PEGI

Hopefully the Australian classification board will add the rating when they update their website later today which normally happens between 6-7 PM UK time (10-11AM PST).

Do the PEGI ones include the original release dates of the Episode? Because that would be very unusual for Telltale (from Thursday all the way through to Sunday). Or maybe I'm missing the point.

The dates are when it was rated, i'm guessing it says December because they submitted for a rating and then decided to push it back for their tighter release schedule.
Yeah that makes sense. Could be like Minecraft where episodes 2 and 3 were rated soon after episode 1, coinciding with quicker episode releases. I hope that happens

Main menu will probably end up being a shot of an abandoned marina, or dock or something
Something nautical-related

I'm looking forward on Telltale' s Take on Michonne, I hope there is some foreshadowing from Telltale' s TWD Original characters.
Maybe it's just me but Michonne looks prettier in the game than in the comics.

And the walkers have ropes instead of chains, which makes more logical sense, I guess.

There is a building behind Michonne that wasn't really visible in the older version. At first glance I'd say it's either a factory or a car park.

They're minor changes but I like them. I wonder if they chose rope over chains because it's easier to animate.

The Game of thrones fourm sends their regards (which means hi)
In the old one, there are many trees behind but in the second one, not many and are a little close
Shiver
They also changed the location of the sun in the background.
Nathan from Telltale Played some Michonne
It's something (kinda?).
well we've had practically nothing, so anything is something!
Everyday I come here to check in whether or not a release date has been announced - I only wish we didn't have to wait towards the end of February.
I predicted a release date today!!
Who is with me??
Tuesday is the day (crosses fingers)

I didn't notice the "TM", i just check the trademark database and Telltale do own the trademark "Telltale Series".

That pretty much confirms the 23rd. But cool that we know an Episode name at least. Now on to the Australian classification board.
Soon
Hopefully the Australian classification board will add the rating when they update their website later today which normally happens between 6-7 PM UK time (10-11AM PST).
Makes sense, I never knew about the New Zealand board before this tbh
Why is the release date set for last year? Does that normally happen?
