Imo season 3 can only be either completly new characters or Kenny's prequel from after his "death"

edited June 2015 in The Walking Dead

Since there are 5 possible endings of season 2, it's pretty clear that it's impossible for S3 storyline to be a squel of it (unless they'd jumped the story 10-20 years in the future with protagonist AJ and both Kenny and Jane dead, but I think that'd be both cheap and dumb). The only possibility seems to be a completly new story and characters or a prequel with a new character protagonist meeting Kenny at sometime between his "death" and reuniting with Clementine, and so finding out where exactly did his story go for these 2 years.

Which so far is my favourite idea.
Sorry if some of you may think that we had enough of Kenny, but while I can see how much of an asshole he is, he's still my absolute favourite as a character.

I don't know if it was already told, but I discovered this forum today, so.

  • It's not really season 3 if it's a prequel they need to continue the story I'm certain Telltale will manage to continue despite the endings.

  • Or a third option (and this one I like): Season 3 have 6 episodes, one of which is focused around our ending, and at the end of the episode, every one ends up at the same point, but each episode has its own set of choices. They have over a year to make this, especially since they said it's not going to be released in 2015, and they were already thinking of what to do for Season 3 before Season 2 ended, that's plenty of time to figure out how to connect the endings.

  • I... don't think Telltale made S2 end in 5 different ways, just so they had to spend the whole episode of S3 on trying to fix that, like it was a mistake in the first place.
