Yes because the effect of 400 days on season 2 was huge
Play before you judge, we only got the news a day ago! Wait until it comes out play it and then you can judge. What if michonne meets Clem or Christa??

It just Boggles my mind. Another shameless TV plug, why not use a TTG character like Nate, Christa, Lilly, whoever. It makes absolutely NO SENSE, other than a shameless TV plug. What if they decide to keep Michonne as main character. I wonder how people would feel about that.
I will get it , when its on steam sale next year. I have zero desire/interest to play it currently. I still got Boarderlands/ GOT/ Life is Strange/ Vanishing of Ethan Carter, and the list goes on.
The miniseries will have no effect on S3

Well telltale is gonna be giving more info at comicon im sure telltale has a good reasoning for this mini-series we should wait until the 1st episode comes out before we start questioning why they picked this since telltale very well could have a good reasoning behind why they chose michonne in my opinion

I could not be more EXCITED about this!!!!! I read the comics every month and Michonne is awesome. And who knows, maybe somehow Michonne will meet up with our missing Christa, or, my personal hope, Lee's ex-wife. This is gonna be legen-wait for it-dary!!!!
YES i'm very excited about this!!!!! Michonne is definitely the perfect comic book character to choose for a mini series game! i cant wait.
I'm glad Michonne is getting some spotlight.
I think if people actually read the article they'd see why Michonne was specifically chosen.
Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead. "In many ways, Michonne herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead."-"In our effort to bring the world of the comic and the world of the Telltale series closer together, there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap."
"Michonne's complexity and range make her an ideal lead for the compelling interactive drama fans have come to expect from Telltale," said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.
I don't think its that hard to understand..They are most likely testing the waters, wanting to see how people react to mini series like this,so they can do more to connect the comics and telltale series in some way...
anyways haters can hate. I'm so excited!!!!

TTG always gets complaints about their show not including enough comic and TV characters, I guess they just wanted fans of the comic to have a game for themselves ^_^
I do kinda wish that they had brought back an old character or even a new one that meets some old characters but telltale seem to know what they're doing

I have no apprehensions on whether or not this DLC will be interesting.**
However, I don't quite appreciate how they are marketing it as an add-on to the Walking Dead game when it so blatantly isn't (cameos or no cameos). Like, at least the characters from 400 Days had a slight bearing/influence in Season Two- especially Bonnie.
Moreover, the fact that the DLC has been released too late to be sold as part of the purchasable full Season Two game is highly frustrating for those of us who don't like making online game purchases.
Not saying it won't be good.. but no... not very excited, I hoped that they would focus on their own characters like Christa or 400 days crew or something that builds towards episode 3...
I am glad dude, or dudett. I cannot wait but will most likely have no choice but to wait based on telltales history of slow release schedules. Folks always talk down about everything before release. Even season 1 had to be dealt with some trash talk before it was released, and then critically acclaimed so you just can never know until you try. I mean I don't like everything TTG creates like Borderlands and Game of Thrones (the game not show) but I still test it out even if I don't care much for it, to see how it goes. And if I don't like it I still don't bad mouth it everyday..
It makes sense from a business standpoint. Not only will they be featuring a fan-favourite character in a prominent role, but they'll be luring in fans of the comic books to their game that maybe didn't have any interest in it before. The Walking Dead is a huuuuuuge franchise, and Telltale is definitely taking advantage of that.
While I felt pretty indifferent to the announcement (I would have preferred a DLC about an in-game character that could tie up loose ends), I'm trying to stay as optimistic as I can be about it. It could be refreshing to play a different MC than just Clementine, and maybe we'll get to see some cameos from season two characters.

I wish people would stop bitching about people voicing their concerns/ opinions. It seems to be becoming a common theme. What is the point, this whole thread/Forum is was designed to elicit a response. If you do not wish to read opinions, why are you reading this thread?
Why are you reading these threads? It has become quite clear that you aren't happy with anything that Telltale has done lately .
I just happy that it's walking dead related .

Yeah I'm excited/upset like yay more twd and it's michonne! But I want season 3 like ttg is putting too much on themselves with GoT,ToB,TWAU,Minecraft, and now this michonne add on so like the wait might be longer I know season 3 was confirmed for 2016 but ya know. At least it's some walking dead though so overall I'm happy
I tried reading the comic before and I didn't like it, it was pretty boring to me and none of the characters interested me in the slightest so that's why I'm not exited and I might ignore this, that said I have other things to play, watch and read so it's not like I'm bothered because it's something I have no interest in it.
Seeing how invested I am into the entire universe, I'm definitely playing it. Although I'm slightly disappointed that it's not directly part of the game storyline. Eh.
tt has become quite clear that you aren't happy with anything that Telltale has done lately
I spend maybe ten minutes a day on these boards. Get over yourself dude.
. I just happy that it's walking dead related .
Good for you, now either say things in a good/constructive positive manner, or don't say anything at all. You have no right to bitch about people voicing their opinions, who are you to tell people their opinions are less valid? The pope? Get over yourself.

Eh... I like Michonne, but I didn't exactly want to play for her. I'm not caught up with the comics or the show, so it may take a bit of work to understand what the heck is going on. :P
We know nothing about the story. All we know is who we play as, and you don't like that. You can't say it's wasted potential for a DLC because you don't like it. The story can be better they season 2 and you still would cry.
the thing is i dont like michone and i perfer to play as someone i like and i know allot about the story i read the comics it takes place between issues 126 and 139 when she left alexandrea safe zone for some odd reason we dont know yet, and i didnt say that the DLC will suck im just saying it could be so much better if telltale hadnt sold out.

Damn. I thought Marvel and Minecraft would be their cash cows.
I'm cool with this it. And I'd wish people would quit being so menstrual about it. In short ...suck it up buttercup...

Somebody has to pay for good ratings on those game review web-sites...
I think it is so much wasted potential for a DLC
I'll buy it, sure, but like other people I was expecting something related to the video game.

I'm not really excited, mostly because I've never read the comics so it's just another random character to me.
Guys, please try to be civil and stay on topic. Thanks.
I'm actually excited to play this!! It's something to play before TWD season 3
