How I feel about the Michonne announcement
First, I'd like to start by saying something positive. Of course I'm still going to both buy it and play it because its...well Telltale. HOWEVER, I must confess myself, disappointed. Although a Michonne episode/series (whatever its going to be) is a cool idea, I feel as though there were so many other characters and unexplored themes/ideas TT could have ran with to help bring completion to S1 or S2...the cabin group pre carver, Kenny leaving savannah/meeting sarita and the ski lodge group, the time between clem leaving the jewelry store and meeting chirsta and omid, the time between omid's death and the camp fire, christa, molly, lily, hell even reggie. Theres so much more but you all get the point. Regardless, much love to telltale for all of their contributions to the gaming world.

The problem with this is that they'd have to do a different DLC for pretty much every character just to please everyone, and even if they did that there would be so little time for a good story for most characters. Personally I feel like this is going to be great and everyone will eat their words when it comes out. I'll refer to this comment when it comes out.
I would have preferred if Telltale did their own thing with a new original character, but its still really cool to be able to play as Michonne, and Im excited to see where Telltale brings us

Firstly, there are many many people like the OP and myself that are pretty disappointed by this so called 'big' announcement.
Yes we'll probably buy it for completeness sake, but that doesn't mean we agree with the decision to bring Michonne into the telltale version.
Also, this forum is quiet compared to some community's that are calling for telltales head over this. Loads of Twitter and Facebook groups spring to mind.
Plus, I'm just waiting for the massive backlash when this thing is released. One mistake with her character, one slip up and telltale might regret going down this road.
You can't do the cabin group pre carver. You would know the end and your desicions wouldn't really matter for the outcome.

Not interested personally. First off I'm not a huge Michonne fan, second I already know her fate, and finally I wanted a new character whose story we don't know.
I feel as though TT did this so that the show and game could promo and market off of one another
While, I've said that I'm kinda glad that the DLC is unrelated to Clementine's story, that's only b/c 400 Days had such little impact.
However, if they had chosen to do a DLC with someone related to Clementine's story, I'd rather it have been a DLC taking place in the past rather than something that would affect S3 since 400 Days didn't change anything in S2...and it would've been nice to find out what happened with Christa after she got separated from Clementine or what happened during the 16 months prior to "All That Remains"; I was most hopeful for a DLC pertaining to that type of story
Again, however, I am excited to play as Michonne and I'm just ready for more Walking Dead...I'm almost to the point where I don't care what it is, I'll take anything at this point, just throw me a friggin bone, here
