Telltale can't just do this whenever they're feeling lazy. ugh.
I obviously am a big fan of Telltale and twd, but I don't like time skips. Like at all. It depends, but the writers shouldn't just skip time just because. The players want to see more! I know they can't do too much, but people are complaining about short episodes, so they might as well make them longer than doing time skips.

FUCK THAT TIME SKIP
and not just longer episodes, but there would need to be more episodes per season...that could rival that of a TV show, otherwise, time skips are all but necessary
to me it's like editing a story...you don't keep every bland and sordid detail...you stick to the mundane and morbid details that help progress the story along. Look at reality TV...hours of footage is edited down to enough content to make for a half hour to hour show...the same goes to story centered games like The Walking Dead
I'm a big fan of season 1 and 2 and I do think Season 2's writing wasnt has on par with Season 1's but I personally dont think Season 2 was to blame. I'm not 100% sure if you've directed this towards Season 2 but im going to assume that you do.
I understand why peolpe dont like timeskips but honestly in my opinion they are needed, you claim its the writers being 'lazy' but how? I mean when you really think about it timeskips are sort of a big effort especially bigger ones. For instance the huge timeskip in Season 2, Telltale basically had to clean Clementine's personality slate and give her a new one. They had to change the way she talked, acted and interacted which a pretty big effort for the team. Timeskips give a fresh new storyline when things happen over the timeskip that make the audience shocked or surprised and have the wondering what happened. Its kind of like the player was blind folded and the game turned us around a ton of times and when we take off the blinds we are disoriented and confused on where we are, we need that in The Walking Dead.. it keeps it fresh, new and intriguing. Timeskips arent to blame for 'lazyness' it would just be the writing itself, also why do you hate timeskips? Timeskips are needed in a story to keep it moving, especially in a story such as The Walking Dead it helps us grow with the character like they age with us, also without them the story can become dull because of the fact you cant expect action to happen every 5 minutes. I mean I think timeskips in moderation are amazing, I would hate The Walking Dead if it had no time skips because it would be way to much of nothing happening. Trust me i want character interactions to happen too but the thing is timeskips when used at the right times doesnt really change that, its the writing to blame. Timeskips are merely a way to shuffle the storyline not because they've run out of ideas.
But thats not really timeskips fault, thats just the writing in general that could be longer. Season 1 had plenty of timeskips like a 3 month one and it still had long episodes.
