To TTG - Michonne
Michonne?
Do we really need her? Does TWD form TTG need Michonne?
Will choices from that mini-series affect main plot as “much” as 400 days’ choices?
Have you closed all branches of main series?
Have you thought about coherency of the story?
Is it okay to leave main story for so longggggggggggg and make a spin-off?

Sword Swinging Zombie action imo is better than boring Kenny/Jane Drama, maybe it could be good.
I personally would of rather seen a storyline about characters that are already in the universe, ie Shel, becca, Nate, whoever, but maybe Zombie Sword Swinging action will be worth it.
I am not certain on this , but i am pretty sure, they said it will have nothing to do with S3.
Lol but in the comics they show she leaves her sword at home and instead it looks like she has a machete. What does it mean??? :0 Actually they've shown in the show and the comics too I think that to Michonne, her katana represents a style of life that she doesn't want anymore--one with killing, and it seems she wants to leave that behind, and that's why she actually did leave it behind, perhaps? (Not entirely sure on this.) ...Though also, machete-swinging still counts as "sword swinging" I guess lol. I wonder if she'll actually be using a machete like people today use a machete--that is, to cut through thick underbrush like in the jungle or something. In the comics it's shown that she had been on a fishing ship, and essentially she kind of looks like a pirate lol so I wonder if they'll be traveling to different places, perhaps up and down the east coast of the U.S. or even perhaps to Mexico/South America/some island where there is in fact more jungle? The ship could open up tons of different environments for them to explore.
And when it does come to those new potential environments Michonne could explore, I wonder if she could explore these, and then in Season 3, other characters like Clem etc. could explore them as well, after Michonne has already left. The DLC might not have any direct impact on S3, but I wonder if they could sneak in some little thing through the environments. E.g. if Michonne accidentally or purposefully left behind some weapon in some environment in the DLC and then a character in S3 finds it? That could make a difference. They could have it just be an Easter egg too. :shrugs: Who knows.
I don't see the point of this Michonne spin-off. I would much rather have played Season Three.
Besides, how much stick did telltale get for 400 Days? I remember this very forum at the time, calling telltale all the names under the sun. And then when Season Two was eventually released, the 400 Days characters had sod all to do with it, bar one. To rub salt in the wound, Bonnie had the biggest influence. Nate, one of the best characters didn't get a look in.
All in all, 400 Days was a disaster, one that's bound to happen again with this Michonne spin-off.
Just wait and sew
I'm excited about this for two reasons.
First reason is that we haven't encountered comic book characters since "A New Day" and considering that these games happen in the comic book universe it's about time to encounter some character from the comics. Especially if this miniseries has some impact to Season 3 it strengthens the feeling that we're playing story which is happening in parallel with the comic book storyline.
Another reason why I'm excited is that Michonne is one of my favorite characters from the comics and I'm really excited to learn what happened to her during her absence.
The people from TTG said they've always wanted to work with her character and now they have that chance, the people who created the beloved TWDG have things they want to work on for the series, they've made it this far and now have the chance to work with a character, I don't see what's so bad about that.
