Jane as a character doesn't make any sense. Her motives clash in between wanting to protect Clementine and "survive" as she says.

I think on the surface, it appears her motives clash, but if you go a bit deeper, I'm not surprised by how she acts really.

For example, it's clear to me that Jane has not forgiven herself for leaving Jaime behind, even though she knows that in order to survive and in order to keep going in this world, she must forgive herself to move on. She tries to rationalize her actions to herself by saying things like, "It killed me for a long time. But I finally realized that I put her [Jaime] on a forced march through hell, when all she really wanted was for me to let her go." But it obviously is still killing her that she abandoned her, even if she says otherwise. When Clem shows Jane those drivers' licenses with the people's photos and she says, "Some people just can't let things go," she's not necessarily being hypocritical. She's referring to herself; she knows personally that it's hard to let things go and even if she thinks she's let things go herself (e.g Jaime), deep down she knows she hasn't let go. She tries her best to deny that it doesn't bother her (denying it to herself as well as to others), as if denying it verbally and denying it to herself will help her actually get over it, but of course it doesn't.

She desperately wants to not care about others, because supposedly it's easier to not get attached to people rather than getting attached and then taking the chance that they may die and then losing them. She wants to be pessimistic and not get her hopes up that there could be others around her who care about her, that there could be others around who she could care about, who could survive with her, but her actions show again and again that she does believe in the other survivors, no matter how much the colder part of her doesn't want to. Jane returns to Clementine's group in ep 5, she goes back for Sarah on her own if you let the timer run out on the observation deck, she lets the family in at Howe's (as Gil, a kid, reminds her of Jaime/Clem/Sarah who were/are also kids), and she asks Clem to try to do her best with Kenny before she makes the decision that Kenny has to leave the group. She tries to be indifferent to others, but she just can't. Hence the supposed "clash."

  • I actually have a full list of why he's a great person.

  • What constitutes a serial Killer? He did kill several people, depending on your choices throughout the game.

She has a lot of backstory

    Key word Story.

like thinking Lee was a serial killer because he murdered a man.

not really, because what do you know about Jane's character? Was she a good person/ bad person, we really didn't know to be honest. We got insight to make a choice, but how well can you know someone in a few days. Its impossible right. We got to know Lee's character pretty well throughout the Season, Jane not so much. As i said we have to make judgements based on what we know. I knew Jane was a Liar.

She will lie about AJ being dead, means there is nothing imo she won't lie about. That is pretty serious thing to lie about. That is like telling someone you have cancer, when you don't.

She has a lot of backstory - thinking she's lying about having a sister because she lied once is like thinking Lee was a serial killer because he murdered a man.

  • He doesn't have to be a great person. That's probably why a lot of ppl in the camp died at first. Because he was too worried about moral instead of survival. The fact that he had enough food, shelter and ammo for his ppl should be good enough. I think his problems were more with the group then we'll ever know. He definitely hated Carlos, Luke and Alvin.

If it was Clem and Jane showing up by themselves, I don't think it woulda been as harsh. Hell even Clem and Kenny would've had a better time.

I feel like Carver was right most of the time. He never hit me in my playthrough cause I agreed with him and we both knew we were the strongest ones in the group, even stronger then Jane or Kenny.

But then again, my name is Shane Grimes.. So you can tell who I side with lmao

  • He had a cool coat.

  • Always seemed to me the only real difference between Carver the Good Leader in the apocalypse and Carver the Murderous Psychopath would be a matter of degree.

  • Carver was intelligent. He was probably the most intelligent character in S2 imo.
