Is the Walking Dead getting too predictable?

In both seasons everybody ends up dying and Clem ends up alone or with one other person. Although Season 1 was flawless, season 2 killed everyone off who would've been great protagonists for a Seasons to come.

At first Omid died and I was like that sucks but ok I understand why they did that, but then Nick, then Luke. They should've kept them alive and the season should've ended with those two, Kenny, Jane, Bonnie and Mike in my opinion.

I Wasn't a huge fan of the decide between the Kenny and Jane. But I can't wait for the michonne series and season 3!

  • The title and description aren't related at all...

  • If any of those characters in Season 2 became playable, I guarantee Season 3 wouldn't be as good as it could be.

  • How? Its predictable that they kill off everybody that can make a juicy plot for the next seasons.

It seems odd that they would kill everyone save for Clementine and AJ, and determinantly one other (Kenny or Jane), whereas Clementine, Christa, Omid, and Kenny were revealed to have survived the events of Season One.

Of course, I'm not counting the characters with no confirmed fate (Lilly, Molly, Christa, Mike, Arvo, determinantly Bonnie, etc.) so there could be more...

I was just disappointed how fast paced and in quick succession all of the deaths seemed to be, and a few of them in stupid ways. Although I admit I liked it in a weird sort of way because it kept me on the edge of my seat and played with my emotions.

  • I like the fact that the stakes are so high in the game. It really feels like anyone could die at any moment, which is more than I can say for the show the last couple of season.

TTG is on overkill when it comes to character deaths, IMO. In a real apocalypse, ppl would be dropping like flies, but from a story perspective, it's hard to get invested in characters who die in the same episode or before their character can truly develop. Two different animals, but death in TWD show is way more heartbreaking, because we've seen the changes in them and learned their backstories. And each death has meaning whereas TTG's deaths can be awkward. You'd think Ben's death would've changed how Kenny treated ppl, but he was still a dick to Nick and Luke at the dinner table and after that. If he had changed his personality a little bit, Ben's death would've had meaning. Just an example. But yes, TWD game is becoming predictable, but hopefully S3 changes that.

I completely disagree, IMO Season 1 wasn't anywhere near flawless (neither was Season 2 but you get what I mean) I think season 1 had the exact same problem of killing off too many main characters too fast.

  • No because if it was predictable we would have gotten Kenny vs Luke but you know how that one turned out. It's better predictable than unpredictable where they just kill EVERYONE off for shock... I'd rather have characters.

  • Omids death was so uneccesary and that won't be forgotten. But going off the idea that it's getting predictable... I think quite the opposite.

Like we hope,(and pray), and expect the game to go a certain path, but then it throws a curveball that angers you and saddens you, and oh shit we gotta run from walkers. IMO, we are gonna be blind sided by season 3 just like season 2 blindsided us.

But the whole you're alone theme, thats what TWD is about. Pretty predictable
