We all know that the stranger is dead. We saw him get strangled and can either get shot by lee or Clem. But was he the same guy on the other side of the gate. They do not look the same so could it be possible that this guy was a man who was working with stranger and ran off after what happend. Could he come back in season 3.

    But why did'nt he kill lee, or just run away when he had the chance.

    Technically the stranger could possibly be alive. In RL it takes about 2-4 minutes to strangle someone to death. You still have to choke them, after they pass out. If you don't shoot him, he could be still alive.
