It might be TWD but it feels more similar to Night of the living dead

edited August 2015 in The Walking Dead

Ben = Lee, Harry Cooper = Kenny, Barbara = Clementine....

  • I know Barbara is a woman, and Clementine is a little girl but their story is similar. In the beginning Barbara is terrified, and pretty helpless. By the end she's kind of a badass.

  • Kenny and Lee could become best friends or at least end on good terms (even if you were worst enemies) . Ben and Cooper.......yeah.

But Walking dead as a whole is based on Night and its sequels (The ROMERO sequels not the other guys).

  • Robert Kirkman himself has said that films like Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead were inspirations for The Walking Dead.

  • Eh, with zombies you can't really get much variety in story.

They could have actually just called it "Telltale Games: Night of the Living Dead" or "Telltale Games: Ermagersh, zermbes!" and it would have been almost identical minus Glenn and Hershel (who added literally nothing anyways) and no Michonne DLC.

  • True but Cooper's kid ended up being bitten, and dying. Also Barbara ended up shooting cooper in the face... Which Clementine had the option to do in the last game. I'm not saying it's a carbon copy or anything, There are obvious differences. I'm just saying that Ben seemed like the rational guy who came to Barbara's rescue, while Cooper was the hot head who liked to be in charge, and the transformation of Barbara from weak to strong. Through some of the movie it seemed like Ben was the leading actor, but by the end it was actually Barbara which was also the case with Lee, and Clementine.
