I haven't read the issue yet. Did Rick intentionally hit Maggie, or was it an accident caused by Jesus trying to pull him back?
They were arguing about Maggie killing Gregory when Rick doesn't want violence to happen again like the old days. They fought and then quickly reconciled panels later.
After Issue 144 everything has been terribly slow, I hope that things get in motion sooner or later, hell I'd even feel better if Kirkman would finally show us a bit more of Sancturary and the Kingdom, Dwight appeared only in one issue after issue 126, and Ezekiel... You know... didn't really appear much too.
By the way, I supported Maggie 100% on this.
Really? I actually think she went overboard with the Gregory execution. She could've easily sent him to another community to be held prisoner. Was he a dick? Most definitely. But they're supposed to be rising above such things.
He did try to assassinate her though.
And what if he managed to get away? What if he gathered other people? What if he got another chance to kill her? There are too many what ifs to risk to keep him alive. He had to die, and I actually think Rick should have Killed Negan right away. Should they kill people for a mistake? No, no way. But if those people are a serious risk for the community, why not kill them? To prove that they are above such things? Who cares? Better safe than sorry I'd say.
