It's not unpopular at all, I feel the same way. Maybe he fucks up a little, but he regrets it and trying to make it right. I think he's got so much space for character development and I feel bad for him, considering all the terrible things he's been through.

It takes one hell of a person to keep her promise of raising and protecting a little girl in the ZA for nearly two years, after losing everything that was ever dear to her.
Baby and boyfriend... She's one tough cookie.
Not to mention she didn't think twice about sacrificing her life to save Clem's back when the scavengers were questioning her in the woods.
He got infinite cool points out of me for saving Clem back at the distillery by FISTFIGHTING a horde of walkers.
Ben would never, ever , ever, ever ,ever have done that.
I do think Nick can be fixed, if we the players treat him right. Just need to work on his anger issues and happy-trigger finger.
I can see him becoming a valuable member of the group.

Luke's good to Clem and is starting to have a brother/sister relationship with her. Plus, he's as close to a badass as you'll get in this group.
Alvin's seems like a really nice guy (the George incident aside) and is good to Clem.
I'm really starting to like Rebecca after episode 2. Not to mention she's pregnant.
I admired Carlos' bravery when he faced Carver and how he chose torture over selling Rebecca and Alvin out. We may have gotten a lausy first impression, but he's clearly loyal to his own.
In Nick's case, I feel bad for him and I think he's got a lot of potential as a character.

But I guess that if I have to choose I'd be torn between Kenny (he's my buddy from S1) and Sarah (she's the youngest and she's so innocent), closely followed by Nick.

Luke is just so sweet to Clementine and I'd hate to see that sweetheart die, I would cry just as much as I did when Lee died if Luke dies.
Same goes for Nick, he seems broken because of what happened with Pete, and adding on to the fact he had to kill his mom and he shot Matthew on the bridge, he's just so sad and I just want to wrap him in a blanket and hug him by a fire. I'd cry so much if something happened to him too.
I swear, if anything happens to Luke and Nick I'll be so furious and devastated...

If I had to pick between the two in a life or death situation like the Carley/Doug one, I wouldn't know what to do.
I would definitely choose Christa. Not only I liked her even in S1 for courage, rationalism and still, compassion, but, come on, she's been taking care for Clem for 16 months - all by herself! And the loss of her baby... man, I mean, it should be the greatest pain even in the ZA. Despite that she was always there for clem, teaching and taking care of her. Realizing this made me not just like Christa - it made me feel the deepest respect and admiration for her. If any chance given, I'll do anything to keep Christa alive and safe.
