Surrender or Find Kenny?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

Hey guys! I just want to know what decision did you make when you were to choose from either surrender to Carver or find Kenny? I choose surrender because I don't what Clem to be like "Ben" who get blamed when Carlos' group members were killed. If you could remember, Lee told Clem that shooting people changes every person which also applies on knowing when to give up or fight. I admire Kenny's attitude of not giving up but to risk your friends' life because you want to kill Carver is completely absurd.

How about you? What choice did you make?

  • I chose to find Kenny because Alvin whined doing so would result in "deaths on both sides" and I want to kill everyone I can.

I was slightly disappointed in the outcome.

  • Hahaha. How morbid and gruesome but I respect your opinion :)

  • Find Kenny ... and Luke.

I was actually torn however with two headstrong people outside I wanted to be out there to at least have a say in what was happening. Good thing too, Kenny would have just kept shooting.

  • Surrendered.

That was my favorite character having a knife to his neck.

I chose to find Kenny and Luke, i was hoping that finding them would help save more lives and that we could plan some sort of counter attack, i told Kenny not to shoot at Carver so i managed to save Alvin.

  • I chose to surrender. There was to much bloodshed, plus I'm trying to save everyone I can.

  • So if anything were to happen to him you would "cease to function" ?

  • I choose to find Kenny and Luke, although I did manage to save Alvin by telling Kenny to surrender.

  • Went to get Kenny and encouraged him to take the shot at Carver. Of course, that gets Alvin killed, but I don't regret my decision.

  • It was annoying that the game took it as a comment on 'bravery'.

I wasn't scared to go and find kenny, I just thought Carver would kill Carlos if I didn't give up.

  • I surrendered to save Carlos. I did play it again though and went to find Kenny to see if you could save Walter, but no - Kenny will shoot the guy, no matter what, so I stuck with surrendering.

  • Went to find my boys Kenny and Luke

  • Went to find Kenny, cause surrendering is not an option to me!

  • I interpreted 'bravery' as the give up option actually :)

Surrender my Clem that was not badass I created Kenny risked his life for someone he hated in ben true hero so I would always risk everything for him. Clem a hero the walking dead deserves not want. Look at Lee did he risk his life and the groups by finding Clem. Being a hero all about making hard decisions no ones bullying my clem or controlling her.

  • Ah, that makes more sense actually!

  • In my first play-through I got out to find Luke. My Clem doesn't like Kenny that much actually, as him and Lee never got along that well either.
So I found him, told him not to shoot and Kenny got Walter killed... I liked Walter, he didn't let Nick die. So when Carver took Alvin I just grabbed Kenny's gun. Good choice apparently :)

  • Didn't get as many deaths as you were looking for?

  • I surrendered. Even not knowing who would die or not, I preferred to keep most of the people alive.

  • Surrendered. That bitch Carver was hurting Carlos.

  • I chose to surrender since at the time I couldn't figure out how much help finding Kenny and Luke could be (I don't like pausing to make decisions and just do it by instinct). My main priority was to try and keep as many alive as possible. + Carlos is one of my favorite characters atm so yeah, I'm not letting that dude die if I can help it.

  • Surrender. I thought it would save more people and I thought that if you went to find Kenny, Carlos would die.

  • Surrendered, I didn't want Carlos to be hurt any more. And then I was pissed at Kenny for giving 11-yo Clem shit about it in the preview.

  • I choose to surrender. There was no way we were going to win against people with AK's, and I knew that Carver would use hostages. They had the upper hand and I knew it.

  • I went to find Kenny, mostly in order to keep him from doing something stupid...which he did anyway. Honestly, who in their right mind would kill one of Carver's guys. Kenny managed to alert Carver to his presence AND royally piss him off at the same time. If Kenny held his fire Walt would have survived.

I thought looking for Kenny would've made the situation worse, especially when Carver pulled that machete or whatever it was to Carlos' neck. So, I surrendered. All I got was a hit to the chest (and the heart), taken hostage, and Kenny in one of his infamous... "moods".

  • Maybe it was a bad idea, but I chose to straight up surrender. I agreed with Alvin, it was a no win situation. I was trying to prevent unnecessary bloodshed.

I did the same because I felt we "had to try." It didn't work out but IMO only because Kenny had picked off Carver's man then fired again without waiting for a clear shot at Carver himself.

Now if Luke had been there...

I went to go find Luke and Kenny. I figured that since Carlos wasn't saying anything about Rebecca, he didn't want Carver to find her, and that if Carver did end up killing him anyway, which I suspected was likely, then at least he wouldn't get his hands on Rebecca. Plus, I figured that there was a chance, if a small one, that with both Luke and Kenny working together, the group might be able to get out of that situation. Obviously Luke decided to book it, so when I realized it was just Kenny I told him to surrender. Managed to save Alvin's life.

Is everyone dead besides Clementine and Kenny? If not, then yes.

  • I felt too bad for carlos. I stayed

  • I surrendend because I tought that Carver would have kill Carlos if I didn't.

  • I chose to join Kenny, and then encouraged him to kill as many as possible.
It was a weird moment for me about the fourth wall. As a player, I knew Carver was the big villain and wouldn't die so easily, so shooting him would only make things worst. But as Clementine... if he died, everything would be solved, so I - I mean, she - took the chance to shoot him.

  • Let my boy Carlos get his throat slashed? For Rebbecca? Hell no. I surrendered.

I actually laughed out loud when I saw Kenny giving me shit in the preview. Just like old times.

  • I surrendered, there was no way the group was going to get away from Carver and his group at this point without people being killed. And I wasn't about to watch Carlos be tortured to keep Rebecca, Alvin, and myself safe...

I'm sort of pissed that in the preview it hints that Kenny tells Clem she just "gave up" though, like what the hell?

  • My gut instinct on my first time through episode 2 was to surrender so i would stick by that.

  • I went to find Luke/Kenny and then I felt like a made a terrible mistake because Kenny got Walter killed.

Find Kenny and his holy moustache of-course....admittedly...i now regret that choice. Mainly... to be honest.... because i didn't give a crap about Carlos, still don't the guys an idiot and a prick (not to mention the worst doctor iv'e ever heard of by a long shot), but i feel now like i should have surrendered, then maybe alvin would still be alive....cries over key board.
