I think Tell Tale is done...

There was so much poential for EP3. They could have built something really great. You could have decided which group you wanted to go to, either with Luke and Kenny or Carver and his new flock. The story progression could have went from there.

It's delay, after delay..after fucking MORE DELAYS..waiting MONTHS 1..2..3..4 for an hour of game time. Some people say "Well go do something" I have been doing things for MONTHS waiting for an HOUR of game play.

Tell Tale bit off more then they can chew, they're trying to do two games at once. Their sucking really bad at it. I think people are going get fed up with it and slow progression and just buy a game like Witcher 3..or DA3...

  • I agree. They are torn between too much work and they can't properly make any of it. Though, still, I liked Ep3.

Hour of gameplay? It was longer than hour. I liked an episode.

Btw, did you really expect TT will give you an option to join Carver? They would have to do two separate stories and delay between episodes would be even longer! TellTale is a small company. They cannot afford this.
  • There would never been deviation at the level of being able to go off with completely different groups. Season one doesn't have that much of a level of deviation.

Actually only one delay. You can't delay a non-existent date.

Potentially they might be working on too much at the same time. However I'd also consider that their change in focus to making shorter more streamlined episodes is the reason for what is occurring.
  • Yet they can afford to work on 4 series at once... :/

  • Nope, we can't. Also TWAU fans would be pissed off. TWAU started first - it should end first.
  • I know that telltale wont disappoint in in episode 4 I think TTG are letting us think the next episode it will be like episode 3.Why do you think they released the achievement.
  • Season one wasn't a month per episode generally.
  • I'd not get your hopes up expecting a longer episode with more interactivity.

  • I didn't say anything about length sir.

  • But seriously most of telltale fans want TWDG--the wolf among us is kinda boring actually a guy turning in to a wolf a women turning in to such an ugly fat bitchs and a talking frog? HELLO is this Alice in wonderland?

  • Done? HA!

TWD season one raised them to a whole other level. It sold over 21 million copies as of last year. If you think your impatience is going to be the downfall of Telltale, then you're suffering from delusions. Season 2 and TWAU are still going to make them money, and probably the borderlands game too, but when the Game of Thrones game hits they're going to be swimming in money again.
  • Zombies been there with many games and you call something original boring... I like TWD and TWAU so far TWAU is the one out of both that is living up to the hype.

U SAID THIS. I AGREE 100%. ttg fucked up with ep 3. and i really like them. still i liked them, but how they handled carver and this whole ep is a shame. WASTED POTENTIAL
  • Don't speak like that! I didn't play TWAU yet, but Fables comic books are awesome.

  • I liked the episode, but you can have your opinion.
  • Buy Witcher 3 (I'm glad people like this awesome polish game and story) and play only it if you want but please don't tell ttg is done. They made a great episode. There wasn't any like this since "Starved for help" . I agree it's a little to short (there should be more optional possiblities to explore places but... well there aren't) but it's still awesome. EVERY death in this episode (maybe except that guy Reggie) was extremely interesting. Dialouges are still interesting... Maybe we are a little mad about 400 days guys but there are still 2 episodes ahead! Everything can happen.
  • Sorry, but that's stupid. It's really stupid to think that they would stop all the games just for TWDG.
  • I don't get why people are bitching about this episode I though it was great.

  • Don't bother.... Unfortunately some fans think this way. They judge TWAU of being crap on the sole purpose that is less popular than TWD.

It's quite stupid if you ask me.

  • They were already at that level with Sam & Max. Walking Dead just gave them more awareness.

  • The walkers are the only think but you're game have nothing reall whatever we will have to wait another 2 months

  • I didn't say they will, I know that's there is no way to,I said if that dream come true

The wait times have increased since Season 1 while the length of the episodes have gone down. There are no hubs worth talking about, character development is extremely spotty (I still know almost nothing about any of the Cabin Group members), and exploration/dialogue trees have been completely thrown out the window.

So yeah I think its a little more then "fans being drama queens".

I loved ep 3, but with the time they wasted on stuff like Game Of Moans they could've made it 10 times better.
  • As much as this episode felt a bit rushed to me I wouldn't say Telltale is done, overall episodes until now were more than good. (imo) Also don't they have separate teams for different games?
  • I personally don't feel as connected to season 2 as I did with season 1. I feel that the episodes, while generally are still good, there is less of a connection with the characters. I think this is because telltale have taken on too many projects at the same time and maybe are not as focused as last time. Im hoping that episode 4 and 5 will be better than what the season has seen so far, but at the end of episode 3, it is the first time during season 2 where I wanted episode 4 out straight away lol
  • Wasted? I'm seriously hyped at their GOT game!

But yes, they should work on it after TWAU and TWD are done.

  • You are of course entitled to your opinion but I would just remind you if you're going to complain about the game you really should use accurate fact's otherwise yur comments are just invalid.. 1,2,3,4 months??? no episode has taken longer than 2 month. How do you come up with 3,4 months?
    It never happened like that.
1 hour of gameplay??? I don't know exactly how you managed to finish it in 1 hour when I've played it twice and both times took me over 90mins.. Every playthrough I saw from other people took 90-120mins.
I will grant you that I believe the episode seemed shorter than most but as I said, if you're going to give your opinions you really should at leaste be accurate otherwise it's just meaningless ranting!

I think the problem is that we the fans, are wanting to tell our own story and with everyone on this forum coming up with similar plots and theories we're expecting the story to be the way we want to see it, but we're not the writers.
  • TWAU episode two took four months to release. Although yes none of the season two episodes have taken that long.

  • Man I really liked this episode it was as almost as intense as s1e05 YEAH I SAID IT.I just don't get how people think this company is failing because themselves are getting impatient. If what you're saying is true than Valve should have been gone bankrupt since they still haven't made another Half Life,L4D,Team fortress, etc.

I think ep3 and in general season 2 was not on par with season 1. If ep 4 and 5 doesn't pick up I probably wouldn't continue to be interested in this series. In this season, there were

    1. fewer morally ambiguous decisions, who to save and allow to die? whether to kill one person for the good of the group? who to give food to? This season was more like, should I be mean or nice to these people/Carver? Should I chop off her arm or not -- probably making no difference whatsoever. It's a much less interesting experience.
    2. less character development; i cared about everyone I met Season 1 episode 1. This season I still really don't care about the pregnant woman, and I didn't feel that bad over many of the characters that died. Every time I saw a character from season 1 even 400 days I felt more interested in what might be going on with them than the current group.
    3. Way fewer puzzle solving. That wouldn't bother me if the storyline continued to be awesome but I think the gamemakers are just getting lazier.

I definitely feel like telltale got lazier with everything: character writing, dialogues and plot. And shorter episodes. They've already developed a fan base right, doesn't take that much to keep it going.

I agree that Borderlands and Game of Thrones should not have been conceived until The Walking Dead is already finished. I think TWD should take priority since it's Telltale's first game with the unique, award winning formula of gameplay that we've all come to know and love, as well as their most successful game so far. I think throwing Borderlands and GoT into the mix tampers with the development of The Walking Dead at least a little bit.

I don't think that season 2 has suffered in quality very much at all, though, even if I do miss bonds like the one Lee and Clementine had in the first season. If anything, season 2 just lacks the same level of powerful emotion that the first was able to deliver episode after episode.

I don't think Telltale is "done" by any means, I just really, really hope that they are able to deliver a consistent amount of quality in The Walking Dead. I honestly don't care about Borderlands anymore, and I never cared about Game of Thrones. If other game developers would like to make games for those other series, they can go right ahead. I just wish Telltale would focus on The Walking Dead.

I would hate for Telltale's attempts at bringing those other universes to life to fail, but maybe if they did, it would show them that their focus should best be left The Walking Dead. I've never played it, but everyone seems to love The Wolf Among Us, so I suppose they should keep that alive, too. But before they even thought about making Borderlands and GoT games, they should have finished what they started with their originals.
