I thought the same exact thing when Clem found Kenny in EP2. My Clem said she's staying with Kenny over the group anyday.
But after Carver beat Kenny and I thought he was either going to die or be so injured he cant travel, I was actually ready to leave him but then was so relieved when he got up sayng he was okay..
Then after Jane saying they're all going to die, it got me thinking. I just can't help but thinking going with Jane might be Clem's best chance for survival.. But for all I know, leaving with Jane could be a terrible mistake. Jane could either be the best teacher Clem could have or she could just use Clem as walker-bait..
Anyone whose got any sense in them would chose the group, me include, but maybe TellTale will make us spend more time with Jane and get to know her, which might make some people change their opinion…
But regardless, I would go with the group, no matter what.
Jane, if i would have a choice i would go with her. In my canon Nicks already dead, Lukes huge food fuck up made me mad (and i know, honest mistake), Kenny's a mess, Sarita possible dead and Kenny even more mess, Mikey... meh, Rebecca i didn't never liked much and Sarah... well, cease to function i guess. I don't count any of them as mine Clems friend really. Kenny's the friendish but... im sorry for all Kenny fanatics (thumb down button is there where its always were) Kenny... he's so unstable man and its might just partially costs Walters life.
I'll stick with the group. I'd rather be drug down and die with my friends than put faith in someone that has no faith in others, or any qualms about leaving them if it suits her.
I think Jane will play a big part in episode 4, I really like her I don't know why I just think something big will happen with her. If I am forced to choose though I will keep her with the group, I won't let her leave Kenny and Luke.
Great point's but let me offer the flip side of them.
1. Safety in numbers.. Of course.. but how safe is Rebecca with a baby on the way? A… morell that crying to come! (ever see the final episode of M*A*S*H)
you'll know what I mean if you have.
2. I don't trust Jane like I do Kenny or the group, but then we've only known Jane for a day or two at most. She is a bit cold hearted but IMO that's a good trait to have at times like this. She could tech Clem alot!
3. I'm not sure how big of a role Jane will have in the future, Molly had most of an episode and I was hoping she would have become part of the group. We have some 'good' people with us now but we could really use a badass like Molly or Jane so I hope Jane sticks around and doesnt just take off.
4. That's right.. Knowing Jane for just a day doesn't allow us to get to know her very well and for all I know, she would be willing to pull an Otis on Clem. (shoot her leg leavng her for the… [view original content]
I would have to stick with the group. I don't think Clem would last long with G.I. Jane and like someone pointed out Jane just might leave Clem behind in the future (if you choose to go with her). Besides all of that if Sarah is still alive and manages to get back to the group she's going to need someone to help her become independent. The only person, in my opinion, who would be willing to do this is Clem.
That's a good plan, have Jane stay with the group, but the problem is, we're not in control of the options, we may never have the chance to try to get Jane to stay with our group. So, if you can't choose that option and must choose between Jane and the group, what would you do?

I don't see any reason for Clem to leave with Jane. Clem has shown she can work with and trust a few members of the group; the only defining moment we've gotten for Jane was the brutal way she killed Troy.
Depends under what circumstances, would Clem and Jane be abandoning the group in their time of need? Or is the group walking into a losing battle where there is no chance of winning, so Jane decides to leave and gives Clem the choice to go with her? And most importantly (for me) is which side is Kenny on, would Clem be abandoning Kenny, could we convince Kenny(and Sarita, if she lives) to come with us? Because you best believe I REFUSE to leave Kenny if I can help it. I love Jane, but Kenny is my #1 after Clem haha.
I'm right there with ya.. It would depend on the circumstnces.. I'm just making my point that survival trumps friendship in this case!
is Sarita dies, I wouldnt mind Kenny going with Clem and Jane. That may be a good team if we can get Kenny to calm down.

I would like Jane to give Clem a crash course, and then Jane can leave if she so chooses. I love her character, but to me she's a lot like Molly who preferred surviving on her own and keeping away from groups. Plus, I'm a lot more attached to the group like many others here.
Well, the "group" is already showing signs of falling apart...Luke means well, but he can't balance the emotional baggage of each person...while Kenny also mean well, but he isn't afraid of being loose-cannon and downright ruthless. That man has a demon inside of him...
Meanwhile, Jane appears to be the loner/survivalist...
In short, each of these three distinct personalities embodies who Clementine COULD be...is she a survivalist, not afraid to work alone...is she someone who supports being with a group of people...is she a fearless leader, not afraid of violence...?

I agree with everything you said.. Jane may not even want Clem tagging along.. She may show her a few things but might not want an 11yo girl to have to worry about.
I think Clem know's some sort of a group is best, but her current one isn't doing so well atm.
Jane to me is kind of how I want Clem to become. Molly too.. They are smart, brave and know what they have to do to survive!

I think we've just heard the same thing in different way's. You heard someone we don't really know very well suggest leaving the people we know.. I heard her suggest leaving those people in order to survive.
Alarm bells? maybe.. But then again she did help us at the end get through the herd.

Group definitely. I mean Jane has a point, the group definitely doesn't look good on paper and it isn't the strongest but there is this thing called loyalty. You don't leave anyone behind. unless they shoot a member of your group in the head for no reason

That's what I'd say to Jane.
I'll go with the group.

So... odds of surviving is low with these guys.
There's a reason everyone has survived up until now in the Apocalypse and it's been going on for a damn long time.
I could never leave the group, which also involves Kenny whom I've known since the opening days of the outbreak.
Jane can either stay with us as a family or she can take a hike. Simple as that.

Yeah, that was a Kenny reference. waddup.
Kenny!!!

I'm surprised there is such a long discussion on this, I would have thought the choice was obvious.
Clem is a loyal friend. She'd never leave them behind.
