Can someone explain to me what you guys are trying to actually accomplish?
Like, don't get me wrong, Nick's my favorite character and I love him with all my heart, I truly do, but... Telltale can't go back and retcon the fact that they killed him. We saw a walker bite a chunk out of his neck. He's very, very dead in some people's games. So... what exactly are you expecting? An update that just nullifies the entire scene with Walter and makes him save Nick no matter what? What happens to the people who killed him off? He suddenly just gets shoved back into their games? Their saves get deleted and they have to start over? Or do you just want him to stroll out of the forest in episode 4 and announce, "Hey I got bitten but I'm okay"?

But he wouldn't really be doing much because his determinant status would mean he can't directly effect the plot anymore, though, right?

I love Nick and I'd like to see more of him, but I'd hate for it to end up being just forced fan pandering. I don't want Telltale to change their plans... and imo the fact he's lived through episode 3 already makes me think they may have. I kind of got the impression they planned on killing him off in episode 3, but noticed his popularity and decided to drag him out a bit, which is why he doesn't do anything--they had to rewrite him.

I believe people mean save him for the people who kept him alive and didn't let Walter kill him. Not for the people who got him killed.
But... what does that mean? You just expect him to keep living till the end of the game? What about a sequel?
