This reminds me of a "similar" situation in my life. Although it was in my car and I was driving at about 170kmh (105mph). I drifted away for a few seconds. Didn't crash... Second closest I've ever come to death. Very stupid!

Also, gurgles are a cartoon series introduced in one episode of Good Luck Charlie.
