Season 3 Character
There might have been a thread about this already idk but I'll just say it... IF there is a season 3, who do you think the Playable Character should be, Personally I like Clem but Playing as her 2 seasons in a row just would feel weird, But what do you guys think? Clem?, Kenny?, Luke? , Other existing character? A new character? Thanks for taking the time to read this

maybe you get a choice sacrafice for luke or kenny and you play as the one u save..
I've thought about that, but thats would be a lot of work because they are two different characters, but we haven't really seen Luke's past, but if so maybe some flashbacks...
You can't be sure in Telltale world ... but i'm pretty "sure" , we're gonna play as Clem again
Lee was great but Clem is different.We love Lee , yes , but we love + protect Clementine

Please, no more Clementine as a playable character.
What would be best would be warring factions set some 20 years into the future, the situation similar to the one in the comics between the Saviours and the Survivors - and Clementine is on the opposing side. It could be a great exploration of morality, the us VS them mentality and how grudges can cloud judgements. Also the topic that not everyone who has a different system is evil.
Clementine can be from a nomadic group, and the player character can be from the settler group.

Season 3's main character will probably be Clementine again, only older. Or it might be a brand new character and a story including Lilly making a reappearance.

Clementine must remain within the game. But I think it would be interesting to have a different character as the protagonist.
I personally think either Luke or Kenny would be a great choice for the role.

A brand new character might be interesting.. or.. perhaps.... a Clem who's at least 14. I'm sorry, but I just want people to take me seriously when I say stuff. or at least be as tall as the walkers are.

I hope they carry on with Clem as the playable character in season 3 and then end her story at the end of the season. Then we'd have a sort of Clementine trilogy and then if they made a season 4 it could start of fresh with new characters and a new playable character.
If we were to be Clementine again, I wouldn't want her to be too old. Preferably still under 18, maybe now just heading into her teen years.
Somebody mentioned doing alternate POVs. One could be Clementine and the other is another adult from the season two group. Only problem with introducing a character we already know (excluding Clem) as a playable character is that they already have set personalities. It's not like Clem and Lee who's personality depends on our choices.
Clem is such a wonderful character. It would be a shame not to continue her story after Season Two (unless that ends with a satisfying conclusion to her character).

Though, I saw another prediction/theory/whatever on Tumblr about it being Rebecca's baby. I would love that idea. Especially if and older Clem was around to be a guardian for her/him, if Rebecca dies.
I've seen other predictions like, Sarah, or Luke, or Kenny. As much as I love those characters, I hate that idea. I honestly cannot see that happening. But, I do see them being around for season 3, and not as the protagonist.
Clem or I'm out. I don't honestly like her being the pc. In fact I would have preferred most any other character above her. But seeing as once she is the pc it would be very jerky to move her back to a npc I think she needs to remain the pc. I love her character and her story far too much to go to another group or person. Chances are if they took her out of the story or left her story for another one I wouldn't play the series anymore haha
I want Clem to be in the story of season 3 (if there is one) but I don't really want Clem as pc for 2 SEASONS in a row, it just dosnt work for me, but I want her in the story....
I'd much prefer an older Clementine to play. Not too old, just about her teens. 13-17 at the most. Any age in between, because turning her back into an NPC doesn't seem all that right.

I would like to see a young teenaged Clementine, like 13. That way, they are still keeping within the comics timeline and Clementine will be even stronger and more badass. But I also like the idea of alternating POVs, like what they're doing with Tales from the Borderlands, with maybe Luke or Kenny or maybe even Christa as the other playable protagonist. But it would be hard for me to let go of Clem lol
Then the problem becomes changing a set characters personality to fit that of the player. All three of those characters have completely defined personas so on order to give them dialogue you would need to restrict the possibilities to something they would definitely say in that situation. I sort of had the same problem with them changing Clem to the pc from S1 seeing as I had already viewed her as a set character and personality. Their reasoning behind the multiple personalities for her (which most have easily followed) is that the 16 months was a "reforming period" of sorts, what with all Lee dying, Omid dying, the baby probably dying. I still find it hard to view her as anything but an extension of her s1 self, so for me there is only one possible dialogue choice path (sometimes two at certain parts).
That's true, at least with Kenny, who definitely had a very defined personality. But Luke is kind of less defined, maybe giving Telltale enough room to explore with him and maybe Christa. But introducing an entirely new character who either knows Clem or will meet her over the course of the game would be pretty cool to see.
So are you suggesting moving Clem back to an npc?
If you are- do you think they can do it successfully?
I would like to play as Clementine in Season 3, but with a older Clementine, like she with 16 years old, something close to that.
The best thing of playing as Clementine is that you know her from the beginning, you know her story, you know what she has been through, and I think that no other character can take that from her, even Lee (if he was alive), I wouldn't like to have Lee and Clementine side by side, and playing as Lee, knowing that for 1 season, I was Clementine and I was able to choose her personality.
I would hope a third season takes place immediately after season 2 give or take a week or two. I'm not happy with the time skips they're overused.

I was suggesting that if they had multiple POVs, one of the playable characters could be someone entirely new (not Kenny or Luke) while the other remains Clementine.
I'm not sure how Clem being a npc would go. That means she's not shielded by the safety that comes from being a pc (excluding Lee, but he still made it through all 5 episodes lol) and idk, I would just miss playing as her, she's fun.

Well that would be interesting. Extremely tricky, but interesting. As you said Clem being an npc would be weird, especially if we were switching between povs, making decisions as her and then watching her make decisions. Perhaps with some elaborate branching our decisions through her could directly affect her decisions from the others pov? I'm not sure, just spit balling here
I rather keep Clem going forward, I mean why not? She is an adorable, underage, badass female protagonist. What more do I need? Cleam 'till the end; I like seeing the growth and kid view of the zombie apocalypse. So yeah, rather keep her going forth. Lee didn't teach her things for nothing, yo.
That would take even MORE time for the episodes to release. That would also be very complicating. 2 stories in one game sounds too much for TTG to handle.
I want to play as an adult. Not a little girl. Being slapped by Carver/Troy and not being able to get up and defend myself infuriates me. If they did that to Lee, we would beat the shit out of them. But that's not the case for Clem. We have to rely on Kenny to take care of Carver? What a joke. I love Kenny, but still. I wanna deal with Carver my self.
That's like being Bigby and getting into fights, then turning the main character into Rachel.
What's Kenny gonna do? Salt lick everything? What's Luke gonna do? Use his man tits and fly off away to a safe place?

A new character that is not 11 years old. I wanna be able to defend my self whenever i am slapped across the face. I wanna be capable of being the leader of a group. I wanna be able to get an actual say in things without being replied to as, "Clem, the adults are talking." or "She's just a little girl."
I fucking hate that. I am the player. I wanna be a strong person who can lead their group or have an actual purpose, other than that little girl that does literally everything in the group. Clem seems smart to me, but no one in the entire group seems to have a brain. Without Clem, it seems the group would be dead.
Jane and Clem seem to be the only smart people in the group.

umm... the guys has body guards with AK 47's, and you just saw how bad he is( he shoots anyone he dislikes right in front of people) you really think you would "get up n beat him up?" uhhhh no. In a Real ZA, talking back to someone like carver gets you shot in the face and pushed over a wall. Be real
After you get slapped go for Carver's gun, shoot him, Bonnie, and Troy. Then, take the AK's, open up the door and tell the group to run away. Problem solved.
