Yep Lee waited far too long before cutting it off. Its like with Hershel's leg on the tv show. Cut it off quick enough then you have every chance of surviving

Cutting her arm gave her a fraction of a chance to live, so I went with that. I think she's going to die anyways, but I did what I did in the spur of the moment. I don't think I'd do it any other way. We were surrounded in a sprawling crowd of zombies, no point in killing one.
I think Kenny will agree with the choice, but when he gets emotional, he doesn't see reason. Duck was evidence of this.

When you cut off her arm, you're not finishing her off. You're just doing the same thing others did to reggie and it could work if she hadn't got bit again... the reaction of Kenny is absolutely logical because, you know, katja, duck and sarita are now dead. Things will never be the same but by the end of the episode I think Kenny realizes that cutting her arm was necessary, he just doesn't want to believe it, he doesn't want to believe he's alone again.

WRONG! if u help kenny there is a cut on her cheek and then when you get out ( not much later ) she still has the cut and then you rub walker gore on yourself as camouflage, including your face, you know where the cut is! and who said anything about smearing? i mean you dont smear it on saritas arm if you chopped it off so id say that clems cheek and sarita's arm had about the same contact with walker gore. but anyways clem didnt get infected and if you chopped sarita's arm she dies because she flips her s***.

I killed the walker first, than regretted it. Than went back to chop off her arm, than regretted that. I don't know what to do…

You can cauterize a big cut here and there, but I don't know about a whole arm
