Fan or no not a good sendoff. I feel they did this just to show one of the main characters as a walker - but it does not work too well when it is just plopped in. Luke's reaction bothered me a lot, he never even mentions it. I want to like Luke but this episode made me dislike him a lot.
His hair is just Kenny's hair, I'm afraid to confess. I saw someone compare the models, it's the same thing just recolored.
They couldn't even be assed to give him his own damn hair.
No offense but that doesn't mean particularly much. Carley's choice would have been naturally more split because its the potential for saving another person, and thus branching into different content with new dialogue.
While not saving Nick is an absence of reactions and a person. Its a much easier decision. If it had sincerely been "Choose Pete or Nick", with Pete not being bitten yet, I'm positive your statistics would be vastly different.
I will say they could have handled it better where the absence of Nick COULD result in new content, but seeing as to how most of us saved him we can agree that wasn't the case. He was pretty much written off/dead already. It certainly wasn't like the semi-romance of Carley with her helping out with the gunfire or arguing in the group dynamics, nor the little traps and humor with Doug or his feelings of uselessness in the Apocalypse. It was just Luke getting a cheer-leader once every 20 minutes and a comment about the beds being crap.
Actually, I went with the bit dude to keep him company, since I figured a healthy guy with a rifle didn't need an 11 year old girl looking after him. Going with either of them changes nothing but I agree with your statistical choice, I mean, who wants to keep the bit guy company? 'Cept me o' course.

Fans: "#SaveNick! Give him a worthy death! That's all we ask!
Telltale: "No, screw you guys. You paid for the season already. We'll do what we want losers. #killthemall
Oh, even then many people kept Pete with company. Which is kind of telling as a first choice. Its why I find his statistic to be so misleading. To put it another way, we'll use Doug as an example. Doug was much less a popular choice than Carley as we all know.
But if the choice had been "Save Doug" or "Let Doug Die", it sure as hell wouldn't be a 25%. It would inflate to massive proportions. I feel the same thing happened to Nick. And this isn't even to bash Nick or say he's a bad characters-- its just the whole 15.6% statistic is tiring, misleading and old. I've seen it repeated about 10 times now in the past two days.

I found these on tumblr, I thought they might cheer everybody up a little.
And let us all try to take comfort in the fact Nick died trying to find the others to help Luke and Sarah in that mobile home, because Luke literally says dear old Nicky made a break for it to go get help. Even if Nick failed, at least that beautiful bastard tried and when he had taken a bullet through the shoulder too.
You died a hero boy, even if we never saw it and you didn't make it T_T you a hero.
Okay, but in all seriousness, Nick was like my favourite Character along with Kenny in this season. They just seem... so real. They're both flawed men who are hot-headed and often make mistakes, but try their hardest to redeem themselves or to move on. They both seemed like the kinds of people who wouldn't give up in the end, no matter what.
Plus Nick's death was just so... unceremonious. Like, he was just there. And f**king Luke, his childhood friend he's known for nearly 20 years, didn't even care when he died. Maybe he's just good at hiding his emotions, but I still don't think it was good enough. The fact of the matter is that Nick, after being SHOT IN THE SHOULDER (I saw the exit wound of the bullet was on his chest, he survived that too.) volunteered to go get help and died because of how weak he would've been at that point, presumably from blood loss or extreme pain.
Anyway, Rest in Peace, Nick. You were one of my favourite characters in the franchise.
I related to Nick a lot and wanted so badly for him to get a really great moment. Even if it wasn't super heroic or anything, I just wanted to see him matter. But he didn't. His death ended up becoming another lesson for Jane to teach Clementine about weaponry.
I think that's what makes it so disappointing to me. I saw a lot of myself in him.
Looking at this thread, the way his death was written almost feels spiteful.
The beginning when we see Nick get shot running through the herd: "Shit! Dude! Don't cover your bullet wound with you Walker-Guts-covered hand! Dammit, you better not die because of that!"
Rounding the corner and seeing only a part of him in the fence: recognizes Nick instantly "Oh no....please no!"
Seeing him as a reanimated walker, stuck in the fence: "Oh God, no! Why? Dammit! Fuck!"
When Jane tells Clem to put him down: "I know I have to, but damn, I don't think I can. This is almost as bad as Lee."
First Hit: "What? Oh come on!"
Second Hit: "Please, just let me finish it!"
Third Hit: crying "God dammit! I'm so sorry Nick! I'm so sorry."
The whole thing was so heartbreaking! And it took so long to put him down and we also see the damage we do to his face, it was too much. I really did love his character a lot. Nick was one of the most real characters in The Walking Dead ever.

I think the way they handled nick, shows how much telltale cares about us and takes are opinions into consideration.
Seriously one of the most boring characters, of course he was going to die. Nobody's even upset about it. Except maybe you folks.

Only 15.6% of people killed him, he's the most saved determinant character, even Carley was saved less.

Either way, the hairstyle was really cool, but yeah, they could have given him an original hairstyle.
Actually, being nice to him as Clementine is easy. You don't have to like him personally.
Good-bye boring side character.
Luke's busy enjoying things in life... if you know what I mean.

I was kind of hoping that if he did die, it could be in some heroic, memorable way. Not... like that.
I guess it fits TWD's theme of 'life sucks all the time' though.
NO! This song! what have you don...agh...painfull memories.... . i..can't...shrek..is...love...

He is finally reunited with Pete and his mother.

You will never be forgotten.
Seeing Nick re-animated and as a walker was friggin heartbreaking, I saved him and was nice to him, I'll miss you Nick.

I've got even more feels now man.
Just some sad music to go with his death... The piano part makes me feel bad like I failed to keep Nick safe.
I failed you Pete, I made promise and couldn't keep it, I'm sorry.
I have never laughed for so long in My entire life. This needs to become a meme
Example: Kennedy Got lucky Real lucky

Your photo doesn't show, what is it? You aren't the troll from a few minutes ago, right?
As much as I loved Lee, you need to accept the fact that he's no more, dude.

Yeah his death was pretty BS to be honest...
We shall never let this thread die.
It's more like a "Why Nicks Death Sucks" thread now XD
If you are reading this from the future, BenUseful, please change the thread title to this!

XD Yeah!
No, it's Nick's hair. It belongs to him because he pulls it off much better than Kenny does.
No, you did everything you could. Telltale are the ones that failed Pete.
