That's the beauty of having a child protagonist, it can last almost forever.
That's the beauty in milking a franchise, it'll be dead… moreer than the zombies it carries in its title by the end of it, because stagnation never improved ANYTHING. Spider-Man is about Spider-Man, Thor is about Thor, The Walking Dead isn't about Clementine and Crossed isn't about Shakey.
Seriously, if they drop Clem in S3 I guarantee TWD loses almost their entire fucking fanbase.
No it doesn't. There's losers who masturbate over Rick's every spoken word, and they make up more than 50% of the fanbase.
So what your saying is that Clem is bigger than the walking dead itself. Theres no way. I remember an interview where they said even rick is an expendable character from the show and your telling me Clems not? Naughty dog, if your familiar with them said that their not making another the last of us until they have a story to tell. This is why season 1 and season 2 are so different. We want to see characters do certain things and we say what we want in the comments and telltale listens so it's not unexpected... It's exactly how I wanted it to be and it shouldn't work like that. What if they can't Deliver a story that's better than Clem's but they know a lot of fans will be upset and say "No Clem No Buy". You might not agree but thanks for reading and thanks for the downvotes
finally not someone who has a clementine obsession
I mean I also like her but I liked Lee more and he got only one season and even though I was sad I accepted it
But no accepting with Clem huh?
I mean its just a character people calm the fuck down
Because of these people we probably will never get a new season with new characters and instead
Depri clem for like 10 seasons
great job people
CREDIT goes to Gratefully Dead
"This is just sad. Just like nobody would buy season 2 if Lee died? I'm sure everyone will do the same if … moreClem dies. -rolls eyes- I'm almost getting to the point that I hope she does die and I hate to say that it's people like this pushing me in that direction. I know Telltale can tell a good story with a new cast, new protagonist and all of that. Go ahead and crucify me but I'm completely fine with whatever they do to this lady."
He perfectly summed up how I'm starting to feel. Now let me make myself clear. I don't hate Clem but people saying noclemnobuy and if Clem dies we riot are really making me dislike her.
Season 3 essentially confirms Clementine lives in Season 2.
Clementine has had both seasons full of character development
Kenny has about 8 episodes of character development thus far.
Luke has had 4 episodes.
Bonnie has had about 2 episodes and a DLC.
Mike has had 2 episodes, and is badass.
Baby hasn't even developed physically. No character.
I'd rather have Clementine live to Season 3, even if she's not the main character.
Give us an entirely new cast of characters. Maybe toss in Lilly, or maybe not.
Cause you know the whole Kenny vs. Lilly/Kenny vs. Luke thing kind of gets old. Especially where, unlike Lee where you could be your own person, and a leader at that, Clementine is often railroaded into choosing a side.

If you honestly think they'd kill off Clementine given all they've done to make her character outstanding, make our choices matter, and after killing off the main character once already in the first season, then you're pessimistic.
Lee was kind of bitten and relatively confirmed to die by the point a Season Two was established.
Besides, what can killing Clem in the final episode really accomplish? Sure, people will be sad but that's because Clem's an amazing character, and having her die to illicit feelings and have no real reason or substance to her demise?
I have a 90% feeling Clem's definitely going to make it. 5% of me doubts Telltale's writing and thinks they're going to try and relive the 'Lee' hype. Except if you do it with Clementine who has very different characterization than Lee Everett (Redemption vs. Morality and Survival) it will not be received very well.
A final 5% of me believes that they're going to give Clementine an amazing send-off. Using all of her survival skills, making it look like she's going to make it, ending on a hopeful note that's longer than most of the earlier episodes of this Season. Have them reflect on the past, have Clem come to terms somewhat with her own story, and in that final push to Wellington, have her be killed. Zombie, Shot, Whatever. A final stand or brave moment where her life is in jeopardy because of her own decision. Something epic. Then we switch over to one of our fellow survivors and end with the final portion of the episode upon reaching Wellington.
But I'd rather have her live now and die later once Telltale gets their shit together. Season 2 is a nice mess. Fun to play, but disappointing at the same time.
Season 3 essentially confirms Clementine lives in Season 2.
Not really. The Season Two announcement did not confirm that Lee would live through Season One.
So your allowed to have your opinion of telling us that we are childish for expressing our views and wanting Clem in season 3.. But we aren't allowed our opinion of wanting Clem in season 3 and get called childish for it.
If you honestly think they'd kill off Clementine...
I don't put it beyond them.
...given all they've done to make her character outstanding...
Especially last time around. Execution is still one of my gripes with S2, but yes, seeing her grow has been nice.
...make our choices matter...
Nah. Well, they have in the way that we almost all agree they did in S1, by having the characters react different depending on what we did and said. Even that was toned down for this season.
..and after killing off the main character once already in the first season,...
I can see them not finding any other way to make the ending nearly as impactful. We'll see though. For the time being, it is a possibility that we all have to entertain.
..then you're pessimistic.
Oh yes. Very. Sadly.
Lee was kind of bitten and relatively confirmed to die by the point a Season Two was established.
No, he was not. Season Two was announced near the time that Starved for Help was released.
Besides, what can killing Clem in the final episode really accomplish? Sure, people will be sad but that's because Clem's an amazing character, and having her die to illicit feelings and have no real reason or substance to her demise?
Part of the reason why I don't think that killing her off now is the best of the paths to take.
I have a 90% feeling Clem's definitely going to make it.
I am completely split. 50-50
5% of me doubts Telltale's writing and thinks they're going to try and relive the 'Lee' hype.

(Redemption vs. Morality and Survival)
I don't think they've managed to pull that major theme as well as they intended, though.
But I'd rather have her live now and die later once Telltale gets their shit together. Season 2 is a nice mess. Fun to play, but disappointing at the same time.

Wait, so why is it either "Clem is in Season 3" or "Clem dies at the end of Season 2?"
Maybe Clem will just live off-screen forever like Lilly, Molly and Jane. It's really the best case scenario for TWD characters.
If you honestly think they'd kill off Clementine given all they've done to make her character outstanding, make our choices matter, and afte… morer killing off the main character once already in the first season, then you're pessimistic.

I saw it as a relief, really. No need to overstay the semi-generic villain's welcome. Besides, it was a somewhat unexpected turn and a cathartic scene, so it worked for me.
It could have been the first live human threat in the series. The Stranger wasn't really a threat until 105, so he could have implemented an aspect we haven't watched yet.
I saw it as a relief, really. No need to overstay the semi-generic villain's welcome. Besides, it was a somewhat unexpected turn and a cathartic scene, so it worked for me.
Because all of these characters were in season 1 ... So obviously that's what makes us want to buy is the fact that we have pre-existing characters...
This is the most ridiculous thing in the friggin' world. Every day I'm hoping she dies more and more.
They can create other characters. I'm pretty sure that Telltale isn't a one-trick pony for fuck's sake. It already feels enough like a fan-fiction with Kenny getting brought back. Let's have have Clem become a big sister with Kenny as the dad and Bonnie as the mom. OMG BUY IT NAOW.

Sorry on misinformation then. I'm more optimistic since Nick is coming back to finish the last episode. Don't like the newer writers. Especially Episode 3's writer.
And the only other theme versus 'Morality and Survival' they've even hinted at, is 'Family'. Maybe trust too, but that's a stretch.
Lee and Clem's parents along with Katjaa and Duck,
Husband Omid,
Nick's Mom,
Uncle Pete,
Partner Matthew,
Husband Alvin,
Father Carlos,
Would-Be-Dad Carver,
Girlfriend Sarita,
Mother Rebecca,
Sister Jaime,
etc.
Lots of family ties here. Rebecca's pregnancy and escape from the camp, basically being the main plotline for a majority of the shit that happens in Episode 1-4.
Kind of funny we're heading into Episode 5 and no one has any family left with them.
If you honestly think they'd kill off Clementine...

No, … [view original content]
I dunno, Season 1 ended with an uncertain future for Clementine and I think I'd still like it even if Season 2 hadn't happened
Also, I kind of like the idea of not having closure. A lot of the choices in TWD feel kind of hollow when you realize the outcome will be the same no matter what, because we can't expect Telltale to write ten wildly different versions of the same episode to fit every choice, but leaving the outcome a mystery forever could make a huge choice at the end of Season 2 feel more meaningful.
Alright I'm gonna sound like an asshole but that would be a fucking terrible ending.
As the main protagonist, Clem needs closure just like we do. Lily and Molly's "endings" left me pissed.
Clementine's character arc is finished. It was finished at the end of season one which is why structuring this whole new season around her has caused it to feel so aimless and disjointed. That was the entire crux of season one: Lee atoned for his past through his care and protection of Clementine and in turn she learned how to survive on her own in this new world. Whether she lives or dies does not matter, when she glances up at those figures in the distance at the very end, her arc is fully realized. Her experiences with Lee have changed her into the person she will be in this zombie wasteland.
This is why so little in season two is of any narrative or character value. No matter what situations or characters Clementine encounters, they will never change her.
We witnessed her end a long time ago. It doesn't matter whether Clem lives or dies at this point.
I don't think they would make Clementine out of the game because she was in the game from the start and we have seen her become who she is now, I think Clementine will be in every season till the end of the Walking Dead.
To be honest...... I WANT LEE BACK WITH CLEMENTINE!, they were the good old days!
"How would you actually feel if Clem died after all of this character development" ? I'd feel okay with it. It's funny how "fans" can be so narrow-minded... You don't even try to see other developments for the game itself. You're just seeing what you want to see Always talking about characters you already know and stuff. Life isn't made of the same people all over again. You gotta meet new people, learn new things, do other stuff. Not be like a rat in cage, doing the same thing all the time. It's, honestly, to me, very sad to see that you guys are being absolutely selfish about it, it feels like you're all kids throwing a tantrum 'cause you can't have the candy you wanted. Just move on for once, grow up...

So what happens with Clementine in Season 3 then? It'll be a never ending cycle..
If it were up to some, they'd be playing Walking Dead Season 17 with the ending being Clem passing away from old age peacefully overnight, just after finding a cure to the Zombie Apocalypse.
The Walking Dead universe has potential to hundred of great stories to be told, people need to stop being so narrow minded and allow for the possibility of a new great character to be played.
Dude, if it is about the quote, quotes are great. I will proceed to quote a kid on quoting.
Quoteception

I'd feel okay with it. It's funny how "fans" can be so narrow-minded...

No offence, but that's a real dick thing to say.

Okay bro, on the forum, we talk about the game. So why do you mention Rick?
We mean TWD meaning Telltale's TWD
I'm sure that rule is set into stone and followed like the 10 commandments (oh wait...).

I stand by this also.
I don't care if she lives or not, I just don't wanna play as Clementine any longer.
It's not possible the comics recently had a two year time skip. Which basically means Clementine can't be any older than 13 in season 3
Don't be dramatic. At worst she'll probably won't be the playable protagonist but probably a sub character.
Really? That sucks... Can't they find a way around that?
I think the recent timeskip was was the actual skip from season 1 to season 2.

Sigh.
It was not. The St.Johns, the bandits and Vernon, to a degree were human threats.
Could have, but in the direction that he was going, I had already seen what antagonists like him had to offer.

If the comic had another timeskip.
A quote is also a great way to prove a point.
Point: Make a point.
Evidence: Provide evidence to support your point (like a quote, statistic etc.).
Explain: Explain your evidence.
This is useful in English and History.
No its not this is the Walking Dead. Read the comic or watch the show a little girl dying is not a big deal in the Walking Dead Universe
I 100% agree
Same thing would be told about Rick, following your way of thinking.
Finally someone with sense man this clem obession is annoying as hell
the TWD univers has so much more to offer than freaking depri clem
