  • It is deserved, because it does storytelling in a way that no other game has ever managed to do. And yes, I think that Last of Us has a far better storytelling than TWD.

The last of us is overhyped, it isn't a bad game by any means, but the praise it gets is not deserved.

  • No,just no.

  • I disagree, the gameplay is mediocre and get's boring extremely fast, the story is good but I say it doesn't even compare to TWD's level of storytelling.

  • Geez, and I thought I was down on the youth.

Teenagers aren't all self-absorbed, hormonal twats who just want boyfriends and girlfriends to make kissy-faces at. Some are. But some are also incredibly intelligent mature people who deal with the same challenges that adults face.

I don't know how you could have spent so much time with Clem and still think that she would fall into the former category.

boys are the same way as girls at that age.

naw i think you can continue clems story into season 3

like what if she gets to wellington and its just the alexandra safe zone and hilltop? and some of the people admire clems bravery and a few years down the road she becomes a foot soldier for wellington? we dont have to play as her but she could be a secondary character to our new protagonist? and wellington gets attacked by another big group and the whole season could be an "all out war" story arc

Exactly! As long as I don't play as Clem I'm fine. I just don't want to play as her anymore. I want to have the same feeling I had when I played as Lee. That's all I'm asking for.

Dude, Best Clementine face is a joke. And most of the pictures are funny or touching, they don't have anything to do with relationships.

Teenage girls do other things than get crushes. Like going into bathrooms with other teenage girls. I used to think this was so they could gossip, but now I know they rob other girls in there and shoot any man that dares to enter.

  • Yes, I get your point. However, I always felt that love stories in games are just ridiculous. I don't mind having them in movies or comics, but in video games are (or at least for me) wrong, especially when you are playing a game based on making choices. Imagine getting these two options: [Kiss him] [Hug him]. I'd rather quit the game than making a choice like that.

There is a lot left to be told. And yes, a love story would not be bad, not as the main focus, but humans are bound to fall in love eventua

I agree with this thread, even though you tricked me!

  • Okay, in Left Behind we did not get the choice, but I thought the love story between Ellie and Riley worked out great. Of course, if you have to decide by yourself, it could make things more complicated.

  • That's because they make good main characters.

... There's a lot more games featuring adult protagonists you play as than you realize.

  • I think it could work. Clem having romance would be so stupid, though.

  • Why?

  • They call me the downvote king. When i get enough downvotes i will release wrath on the world TWD world.

  • It's totally NOT true that the only thing a girl can do is have a crush on a boy.

She can sew clothes and darn socks.

    Or cook.

And do the laundry. Those zombie guts won't get out of the linens on their own, you know.

(please don't kill me, womenfolk and 'enlightened men' - I'm kidding)

What's sad is a sexist who thinks the only thing a teenage girl can do is have a crush/romance. I've been around for 19 years, and know a lot of things about people. I know what I'm talking about.

  • I don't think her story is over any more than Carl's story is over in the TV show.

The series does seem to be abot a child who grows up IN the apocalypse, and how it shapes that person.

It's not an uncommon theme. Take 'The Road Warrior' for example. Sure, it's about Max. But who's the one actually telling the story?

The feral kid with the boomerang.

I wouldnt be surprised if, after they've done however many seasons of the game, it ends with an adult Clementine who had formed a stable, defensive society and became their leader, telling the story to the children, and that's what the first several seasons of games were - recollection of how she grew up into the woman she is now.

  • Well, it seems me as a teenage girl is I go on Telltale's forums and play video games. Lol...

You hear that girls? Literally the only thing you can do as a teenager is have a crush on a boy.

  • To be honest, when someone told me that there was a game where you can play as an 11 year old girl I was like "That's f'ing stupid Ben". But then I played it and it was amazing. And I'm sure a few others would have had that perspective too. So why not give teenage Clem a chance huh?

  • clems story is not over, there is so much about younger clem they could tell, and if a boy is to EVER make a move on clem he better watch himself,i dont agree to having a adult protagonist,i want clem to be the protagonist always.

  • I PRAY that's not true. And if truly love Clementine as a character, you will too.

Adolescence is about more than just fucking. It's stupid to assume that only because Clem would be a teenager, Telltale would somehow turn TWD into Twilight. And anyone who says he has a crush on Clem or wants Cluke gets almost phisically assaulted (what's wrong with the "Best Clementine Face" thread, by the way?).

Also, I highly doubt TTG will make such a big time skip. Even if it could be interesting, the last one was enough and had the sole purpose of reaching the minimal age in which Clem can actually do something useful. The most we'd get from S3 is a 12 or 13 year old Clem, and that too young for an actual love story. Finally, if they wanted to give Clem a crush, they could've done it in this season...

  • Her story is no where NEAR over. I don't know what the hell you're taking, but Clementine is 11. If we do play as teenaged Clementine for season 3, then that's more character development on how she's grown, what her new personality is like, any missing limbs or scars.

Let's think outside the box instead of thinking in it. Shall we?

  • She's a kid in the apocalypse. Not a time for romance.

  • So you're uncomfortable with playing a girl, but fine with playing a tough guy?

Seems like we've got a failure of the imagination here.

  • I don't know, I think Clem has a lot to offer, at this point many of us, if not all, are really attached to Clem and I would love to watch her grow as much as possible, don't get me wrong, I understand your point, but if we start playing as a new character (most likely a man) it would be different because he would have an already developed personality and with Clem we basically started from 0 and I think that adds a plus to the story. But i understand your point don't worry.

  • Huh, I never got bored of the gameplay, myself. Well, different opinions, I suppose.

The sort of people who play a game they no longer like when they don't have to are wasting their time. PS, WTF is a "numpty"? PPS, nm, I looked it up. Because I'm not a numpty.

  • Another word for moron.

  • Just because she is a young female character doesn't mean she has to be subject to becoming someone in a romance. Too predictable/ unoriginal in my opinion. She has much more to offer than that I think.

  • I think my life is more than just being with another teenage boy, thanks. If you want to continue pulling stereotypes out of your ass, you might as well say that all teenage boys would do is wank,

    show me otherwise.

  • Clementine still better be a kid in season 3

  • ...That's not the only thing they would do?

Damn, I was wrong all my life!

  • If she'd be 15 or 16, she would not be a kid anymore. Room for romance. Seen Left Behind? Seen the Walking Dead Comics? Apocalypse Romance at it's best.

She's a kid in the apocalypse. Not a time for romance.
