In theory, the idea of escaping this freaking rat race of a life, could be tempting. To have things to be simple again without all the money & work problems, annoying bureaucracy the society comes up with, inequality based on your past/wealth/ethnicity/whatever etc. However, I know that the reality would be different and I would very soon be begging to get back to my previous life. It's not like a movie or a game. It would be a miserable life where everyday is a struggle, loved ones would die, other people would become a huge threat and food and clean water would become a hard to find luxury. You would never feel peaceful or safe again, which are one of the most important things any living creature wants.
So no. I don't want a zombie apocalypse.

  • Cycles. That's what it's going to be.

Of course there would have to be new ways to deal with this new situation but human behavior dictates that the same ills we have today would continue. Id like to think that people can change for the better but Im far too cynical.

  • I wanna see! :D

No, I don't want. If you want a sneak peek how ZA would be, go to africa. People are suffering in there, there's not much food, not clean

  • I'd miss Clementine.

We wouldn't be able to play it anymore

  • Yea, this world is going nowhere. We need some horrible thing to happen to bring us back to our roots.

  • Definitely.

  • I did, then I played the walking dead. And then I remembered that I wouldn't be able to brush my teeth, wash my hair, have showers and all that LOL But I mean, it'd be cool to have a life with purpose. I feel like I don't contribute to life that much.

It's fun to play it on a game but if it were real it would be a nightmare!

It wouldn't be life, where would the happy ending be?

You'd be starving all the time and having to hunt for food which would taste shit, also getting devoured by zombies would not be nice either and there would be no moral authority and law so people will do whatever the hell they want no matter how evil it would be. No hospitals either and no medicine. No electricity.

No way would I want to live in a world like that!

  • Every person you know that wants this to happen will not survive day 1.

I actually want a walker apocalypse. My father, god rest his soul, was a major,he left couple a' rifles, few pistols, and some assault rifles with 10 ammo boxes for each kind, and some armors in an authorized locker in the army base,we can take them back anytime so yeah.We also got a sharp clever and 10 hostile knives. And we have tons of food and water. If an apocalypse happen,it won't hurt us.

  • Lucky you :D
I live in Germany...-> no weapons at all :)

  • I think that if it actually happened, they would be taken down quicker and easier because in our universe, we know where to supposedly strike them.

  • I wonder why that is?

  • That is because "normal" people are not allowed to have weapons at all.
As far as I know, only a Hunter or People who need weapons for sports are allowed to have one.
But the license is expensive as hell and the government is controlling them regularly.

short form: It's not that easy to get one here ;)

  • Yes but wouldn't you be in danger of picking illnesses from all that? Nobody ever seems to talk about that. For a example my stepdad's mother told me of when WWII was over [i think about that time], the British soldiers forced the guards from the concentrations camps to remove the corpses of the Jew prisoners by hand and they weren't allowed any masks or protective gear for hygiene, and as a result some of them died from illness.

So in reality, you wouldn't have to get bitten to become infected, if you were around undead for long enough that weren't fresh and kept breathing that stuff in or getting guts on yourself or even touching zombies, you could just end up getting sick too.

People in Washington know what they are DOING! Everything is fine.

Three countries in Africa are having a epidemic in West Africa, spreading to others. The virus has a 21 day cycle, so you won't know your sick for at least that time, The CDC first said it wasn't a issue, then they declared a level 4 health advisory 0_o. Not a big deal eh? Ebola is a realistically new virus, in what i mean by that no one has done any studies in it, so they don't have a cure. ZMapp probably doesn't even work. If the virus mutates and becomes air born then what. The mortality rating ranges between 50-90% depending on which news station you watch.

No it couldn't. Unless you have a habit of going around rubbing shit in your face or eating raw bat meat you won't get ebola.

  • misery brings company closer together!

    But company doesn't love misery...

  • It could be in America for all we know, its not like the CDC is taking this seriously.

  • Hell no, i love to have electricity. I rather scout for food in my fridge and warm it up with a microwave (not a fire).

  • That reminds me,I forgot to have my annual bath :D
lol I'm just kidding I take a bath 3 times a day:Morning Noon and Before sleep.Same for brushing my teeth.

If someone had nothing else to live for, I can imagine they'd love something like that. Bring everyone down to their misery. Prisoners , depressive people and the like would love it. It would be a chance at a new life, for them.

  • Yes because this world for the most part is boring. Where there is no real freedom, where we have to constantly conform to bullshit. In a zombie apocalypse you can do whatever you want. I know its a possibility of me dying but there's a possibility of me dying now. At least before I die I will have a whole lot of fun.

  • You can't possibly know that EVERYONE who says that is gonna die the first day.

  • It would actually be completely different and not like what exactly happens in TWD, or maybe close to it but not the same. TWD is just a game based on a story that was written but in real life..it would be a real fucking mess and deterioration, If a zombie apoc happened like in TWD I would be worse than Carver but in a good way and not psychopathically if that's even a word.

Do you even know what a level 4 health advisory is or does it just sound OMG SCARY?

Yeah, what if it just suddenly mutates to become airborne, because that's how evolution works. I mean, we've known about ebola since 1976 and it's no doubt been around longer than that, but what if it just now suddenly mutates to become airborne!

The mortality rate differs between strains. It's not a case of different media, it's a case of one strain having a 90% fatality rate and another strain having a 50% mortality rate. Combined they're estimated at 60-65% mortality.

It's so deadly because it happens mostly in africa where healthcare and personal hygiene is poor. human waste often contaminated the water supply for example, something that wouldn't happen in the west. People don't wash their hands like we do in the west.

There ARE ways to "treat" ebola, but it's not specific anti-ebola meds or anything like that. Suffice to say, being in a western hospital with easy access to anti-biotics to treat secondary infections, coagulants to help stop hemorrhaging, a proper water supply and so on gives you a much higher chance of survival than going to some african witch doctor so they can do some voodoo on you. There are also experimental drugs that are ready for human use but not properly tested that would surely be used in an emergency. Additionally there are experimental vaccines available too. In a last ditch attempt, having a blood transfusion from someone who survived (and thus has the right antibodies) also usually cures it.

Your scaremongering is foolish. You clearly don't even believe it otherwise you'd be building an airtight bunker as we speak.

I remembered when it also happened to 6 health workers in Europe whom where working with monkeys and they all died despite the technology or care. It was also when they found out about a air born Ebola which only effects non human primates such as monkeys, not sure about pigs maybe

**Their are no ways to treat it **just support the body threw the disease if they make it, and the odds are still never in the brighest of favor.

The ONLY actual treatment which was tested and used back in the 80s invented from a African doctor was the idea of** blood transfusions from survivors.** The results was superve and better then anything really.** 8 out of 10 **survived which are hell of good odds when talking about Ebola. But of course western doctors where spectacle back then because of what the blood could have had ie hiv, aids etc. But when your only outcome is most likely death its clear one would take that risk.

Also their are not a lot of ppl whom survive it in the first place to get that quality amount of blood transfusions from in the first place I guess

A outbreak can happen in developed or first world countries, and nothing is really in our control. Ebola can live outside the human body on objects for days to weeks. Cities full of **millions of people interacting and in close proximity **a sure bet for a playground for the virus. Some ppl can show symptoms and interact with others and go to the hospital at the last min. Also its alot of work to trace ppl whom interacted let alone strangers that where just close to you at the time.

Bottom line Ebola is a near death sentence even with the weakest strain which is a 50--50 and the **odds are still not good. **

However thier are group of Africans [forgot the name or their ethnicity but in a country some ware in west Africa] whom 15% or 20 of the population are immune to it.

Do you even know what a level 4 health advisory is or does it just sound OMG SCARY? Yeah, what if it just suddenly mutates to become airb
