Will Kenny's eye be the death of him?

We haven't really seen his eye affecting Ken all too much, the only time he looked like he was struggling with it was when he woke up after having his face smashed in... but as much as I love Kenny and don't want to see him go, Telltale have only brought him back to kill him.

Do you think his eye will be the cause of this? Say, an untreated infection that he doesn't mention wares him down over the episode, that is if he doesn't take a bullet in the beginning of the episode... it would be quite poetic, a sad quiet, albeit excruciating death for a loud man.

  • Yeah... that's got to be unbearable... I'm still holding out hope that he survives, but the more I think about it the more he's going to die.

  • Realistically, yes. His mangled eye socket would become a festering, bacteria-magnet that's close to the brain and likely too painful to treat properly. Tht said, I doubt Telltale is shooting for that kind of realism, so I kinda doubt it.

  • To be honest with you, I would be irate if they brought him back just to recycle his Season 1 arc and give him an eye infection death.

In my opinion, Kenny deserves something superior. Just like his S1 "Death" was.

It would be realistic and somewhat fitting, like you said. However, story-wise, I say no.

Eye think that it might get infected and start slowing him down over the course of the episode.

EDIT: ahh no one enjoys cheesy puns anymore. :(

  • They will try to take care of it at ep5(Maybe bandage it,clean it..).If they wont..well..I dont know what will happen

  • The possibility of infection's already been brought up a couple of times, and I think TWD's "realism" is all about angst and annoying deaths. Kenny SHOULD die from a slow, anti-climactic death rather than yet another heroic sacrifice.

Kenny is now the human incarnation of Odin.

  • But the realism with Sarah's situation and death was bullshit? Hmm... bad case of favouritism going on here boy.

  • The Governor survived 8 months being blind in his right eye and he was a righty.

Kenny is blind in his left eye and a righty.

I mean the Governor pulled it off, why not Kenny?

  • Made me laugh so hard

  • Because the governor got immediate medical treatment by a doctor and a nurse. Kenny got a bandage.

  • In the trailer at the end of episode 3, didn't it show Clem removing the bandage from Kenny's face to see what he looked like? Was that determinant in episode 4, or did it just not happen? I know not everything makes it from the trailer, but I saw as that as a rather big part.

  • True, but the Governor was technically shooting lefty because of being blind in his right eye and being a righty.

Kenny has a bit of an advantage when it comes to shooting due to being blind in his shooting eye.

but I agree and I totally believe Kenny Plissken will manage somehow.

  • It was determinant for her to see what his eye looks like in the tent, but you only get a one second glimpse of it.

you only get the scene if you're nice to him in the tent.

Lol Kenny's plot armor is too strong for him to die due to an eye infection

Supposedly the whole "pizza vs. ice-cream" thing is going to come into play with Episode 5, so there's a good chance Kenny makes it to Season 3.

  • Kenny Plissken.

    Enough said.

  • Guys, stop fighting... this is just a speculation thread not a hate thread...

  • Was I fighting? Didn't catch any of that. We good? Okay? Cool.

  • You called him out for trolling but he's not wrong, the narrative needs Kenny for now.

  • Listen, Vanilla ice.

I don't know what your deal is but you're more than welcome to take off.

  • I did not specifically call him out for that post, but for his general attitude he showed during his last comments and discussions. Still, you're right. This comment was not trolling per se.

  • I haven't seen his last comments or discussions, so as long as he's not a dick here, I'm not fussed. Sorry he's been a dick to you though pal :/

  • Damn, how'd that happen?

I'm currently one eyed right now, I manage alright considering I got hit in the eye with a baseball bat.

  • My point is that the argument about The Walking Dead being "realistic" is a moot point, because the writers like to sucker punch its audience with anti-climactic deaths. The possibility of Kenny's eye being infected has already been brought up within the game itself, which leads me to believe that he indeed will die from that rather than by teeth or bullets.

  • I got some glass shards in my right eye in an accident once and since then, the vision on my right eye is much worse than on the left. I'm wearing glasses, and my left glass is -2.25 strong, my right glass is -3.75 strong.

I played baseball and I was next up to bat, I stood too close to the batter and my right eye was hit. Luckily its temporary that I wear an eye patch that looks like Big Boss' one. I have to wear it until December.

  • But as of now I'm completely blind in my right eye until December, playing episode 5 one eyed is going to be interesting.
