If Nick Survived Episode 4
So a youtuber by the name of 'ZeroFleet' edited 'Amid The Ruins' to make it look like Nick survived throughout the entire episode, and did a fantastic job at doing so.

I usually hate when people day this but does anyone think Nick was meant to have Mike''s role originally rather than just two pointless deaths? Like Mike never existed? I dunno

Honestly didn't expect someone to make a thread for this video. I posted it in the 'Nick Thread' earlier today after uploading it.
The thing that annoyed me the most while making this video was that TTG could've just reused some of Nick's lines like I did to make him have more of an impact. Ideally I would've kept Mike in the video, but I couldn't have them both.
Maybe if Mike makes it somewhat far in Episode 5 I'll continue this video with 'Nick in No Going Back' or something.

I would've done that to begin with, but a lot of scenes don't make sense because Nick doesn't have suitable lines for them, so they have to be cut out. It was a lot of work to make this video on its own (I'm talking, like, hours), and I don't want to imagine how long editing the full episode would take XD

Watching this made me realize that Nick could have just replaced Mike....

No offense intended towards Mike's fans, but this video makes me realize just how easily Mike's role in episode 4 could have been substituted by Nick. Hell, you can already hear Nick uttering the "raccoon shit" line. Telltale simply crammed one too many characters into this season, IMO.

Honestly it's possible that they added Mike so someone could lift Clem up onto that ladder in Episode 3. If you look at that situation, it seems as if no one else can really do it:
So it seems like the creation of Mike was to cover up the fact that TTG kind of jumped the shark by half-killing Nick, who would've been able to fill his role if he wasn't determinant. Hell, Mike's model is even an edit of Nick's...

His first death wasn't pointless. Story-wise, I think it actually made more sense for Walter to leave him to die than to save him. Maybe if he survived episode 2, it would have been him, and then if he died, then Mike would have been there.
